I think the same way, but the only way to fight it currently is to prevent the spread. Even if you don't get sick, if you come into contact with it you'll spread it to others and add to the exponential increase. If everyone was perfectly careful it could be over in a month or two, but it won't be. But by being careful you can make a big contribution to fighting it

Covid-19 is going to cause a lot more than illness. Small businesses are affected when no one can visit them because no one can go outside. On a larger scale, different countries are skeptical of each other and don’t want to trade. People are becoming weirdly racist/ ageist. It’s creating a lot of social division and paranoia that is counterproductive to ending the spread of the disease. People tend to freak out or be completely unconcerned. We may survive, but this disease is testing out social bonds and our economies.

And if i'm correct people that lost their families to this pandemic are defeated which checks my statement if i was only refering to corona. Which I wasn't, i think(yes me, i am the one who thinks this idea) that humanity is in a crisis at the moment, fires, hunger, and many many more problems, we are at a time in which we are very distant from one another sentimentally. We are subjected to unhealthy lifestyles that leads to stress and other things, if we are not still defeated we are tired mentally, physically and spiritually. This track reminds me so much of when this stuff first kicked off in the US. I remember being at home outside working on homework with this on full blast. I loved it. Now it holds.. a strange familiar yet very out of reach place in my heart. A form of nostalgia. Listening to it back, I remember how much I enjoyed the idea of an apocalypse. Now both my parents have COVID, and I am not so sure how I feel about the virus. It's not what I expected. They're okay. It's just weird to have.. experienced something so novel. If I could go back I would. Thanks Umami for making this. It means something to me.

I think that was a big issue with the way the us handled it A lot of people expected the apocalypse but when it turned out it wasn't as deadly as they expected they just assumed it didn't matter and they could do whatever

The year is 2020, and the coronavirus has taken the world by storm, literally. You've just been tested positive for the illness and have been required by law to self-isolate and quarantine yourself immediately for at least 14 days. Your parents are horrified, but you just smirk and sigh in ecstasy. Before your diagnosis, your parents forced you to go on a cruise to try to get you out of the house. Now you're being told to stay inside by yourself for 2 weeks on end. So you're locked in your room. Food is given to you three times daily and you're escorted to the bathroom where there's a stockpile of toilet paper and hand soap. You put on your headphones and lay back in full zen. You stole your dad's gun in case of a "worse comes to worse" scenario. Now, you just lay back, m1911 in your hand, and enjoy this blessing of which most call a curse.

I really don't think I'm ever going to be able to forget about the first few months of the pandemic as long as I live. March and April were spent in a state of total shock and disbelief as circumstances slowly got worse and worse. My first term of law (now, the whole year) has been totally remote. I've seen a few of my collogues exactly once. I haven't been to campus once. Nothing felt real when I attempted suicide for the first time back in April and nothing feels real still. After buying this album I played it every day on my way to and from work, until I didn't have any more work. Resolutions is still my alarm. I listened to it when I drove to get my second dose. I'm not sure I can listen to it anymore. I can't even go a single minute without without breaking down. The pandemic wasn't that bad, was it? I can't even tell dream from news from reality anymore. I've stopped taking my medications.

Hope you’re doing a bit better now. This pandemic was rough really really rough and it’s hard to see a light at the end of the tunnel, but bit by bit things will be better I hope. I get that feeling better is not as easy as going outside and sniffing the roses, this is something that’s gonna stick with us forever. It’s a rough thing to accept, but I hope you found other people or some other thing in your life to help you through this. I know I wouldn’t have gotten through this if it weren’t for the people around me. There are people around you who care, communication with those who care is the essence of human existence I think but that’s a bit of a tangent. Just from a stranger, hope you’re okay, hope things get better.
