Great content, eventually I will need to do the weather stripping. (Truck is painted.) Looking forward to how you replace the door studs.

If you take the hinges off the truck side, when you go to reinstall it, the hinges lock into the pockets and make it easier for adjustment, especially if you mark it beforehand The whole wedding the door from the inside is a nightmare and certainly the harder path

I'm about to install new door weather strip on my '53. When you said to take the hinges off the truck side, were you referring to the part of the hinge that bolts into the cab?

Been avoiding this job on mine. I was in the debate of hollow or solid seals. Mine for some reason is a gooey mess when you remove parts of whats left of the seals. (reason for avoiding...oh and i was going to paint it....that was 10 years ago, HA!) I'm glad you are doing this series, gathering ideas and seeing how a few things are done for mine. The wind wings are another task. However, I'd like chrome or stainless frames and bar. I see they (mid-fifty) offer them already rebuilt with new glass, pricey though.

I have a custom C notch in the rear with no rubber stops. You might check midfifty parts.

After a year, how do you like them?

They seem good so far, doors close easily and no wind noise that I can tell.
