Curtis faced one of his biggest fears in this video, watching a musical; luckily Tim Burton and Danny Elfman's music made Corpse Bride super enjoyable!

5:55 This was an ACTUAL THING in History. While Women could play instruments, it was considered immoral for women to play them in a public setting in various parts of history.

And instruments like the cello were especially unladylike. Spreading your legs to play an instrument? The scandal!

In arranged marriages, they don't let the couple see each other until the actual wedding for fear they'd chicken out beforehand. That's where the "bad luck to see each other before the wedding" superstition comes from.

What I really like about this movie is that neither Emily or Victoria are bad people. It could of been really easy to make Victoria super rude like her parents or really petty & jealous so it would be easier to root for Victor & Emily to be together, but by making them both kind people it helps the story make sense why Emily would give up Victor so he could be with Victoria which in turn gave Emily her closure so she could move on.

I loved this movie. I’ve only seen this recently and ever since i watch it anytime i can. Fun facts: •The puppets were 25 to 28 centimeters (9.8 to 11 inches) tall, and some of the stages were so large that animators could actually fit through the set doors with minimal crouching. Multiple identical puppets had to be created, so that more scenes could be accomplished in a shorter period of time. In all, fourteen puppets of the Bride and Victor were created, and thirteen were created of Victoria. • The movie had a 55-week shoot and included 109,440 individually animated frames set up and filmed. • Victor is reunited with his deceased (and now skeletal) dog, Scraps. A picture of a younger Victor with a living Scraps is visible at the start of the movie. So we saw what he looked like. • Johnny Depp's first time voice acting in a theatrical film. Later he'd go onto voice the titular character of Rango (2011) and the titular character of Sherlock Gnomes (2018). • The climactic duel scene, which includes the drinking of poison wine by the antagonist, directly mirrors the climactic duel scene of William Shakespeare's "Hamlet". • When Bonejangles is telling Emily's story, his shadow appears on the wall as the shadow of Emily's groom. The shadow has Lord Barkis' profile showing it was him who killed her.

Fun fact: this movies stop motion animation is so good, people were convinced it was actually CGI. And Tim Burton was super offended by this, because he's proud of the art of stop motion, so when he made Frankenweenie, he really held back on it ON PURPOSE so they could tell it was stop motion.

Elder Gutknecht (the old skeleton) was voiced by Michael Gough, who most people know from playing Alfred in Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher's Batman movies. His voice adds a level of gravitas to the film, along with Cristopher Lee as Pastor Galswells. (Another Hammer Horror icon.)

I know she's not a twin, but it's kinda like the iconic twin movie, right next to "Twitches" with the Mowry Twins. Anyone else have any twin movies to suggest? Zach and Cody (The Sprouse Twins?) I think they made a movie.

The voice of the worm in her eye socket was an impersonation of Peter Lorre, a Jewish Hungarian actor who left Germany when Hitler came to power. He was very famous in the day, and often played a weasley minion or otherwise sketchy character. With his distinctive voice and looks, he's been lampooned for many a cartoon character. His film career lasted from 1929 to his death in 1964. The movies you two are probably most likely to see him in are The Maltese Falcon and Casablanca, two Humphrey Bogart films I imagine your fans have already asked for.

I too am not a fan of musicals. I find it hard to accept the concept of the whole world (scene and background characters) breaking out into choreographed song and dance and returning to normal afterwards like nothing happened. The only exception I can get behind is a movie about making music, stage performances, etc where it is a natural occurrence rather than a spontaneous/miraculous event

Because there's an animated film called "The Last Unicorn" which lemme tell ya, uses mythology and fairy tales as a medium to say some pretty deep things. And yes, along the way, there are some real absurdities. But it's a film to inspire at the end of the day. (And it was done before Red Bull existed as a drink.) It's from a book which is a hundred times better than the movie, by Peter S. Beagle, who has a new work coming out "You Might Have Dragons".
