Love these insights from the old school style, especially James Toney/Bill Miller school of thought, which isn't as well known as Kronk/Steward.

This dude definitely knows his shit. The only thing that's the opposite of what my trainer teacher is tuck the chin into the same shoulder that's firing. But otherwise he trains EXACTLY the same as this dude so I'm bloody lucky

Hey Tom I have experimenting with sparring and a couple of times last week I threw my right hand intentionally missing into my partners guard and he later told me that his hand went numb? Happened twice last week. What is this?

I was drinking with some folks in the garage and got on a punching back. Can you believe some guy was telling me I'm supposed to jab with my right hand in an orthodox stance. I was in disbelief.

Seems as if you are semi telegraphing the jab when you duck to the left side. Only time I’ve used that is when I switch to that jab rather than using the left hook. However I feel more comfortable using the up jab from just the low ready position. Or possibly the Bob Foster step fake first then jab. Yet thanks I’ll use that jab more often then. Thanks.

The boy is no joke! Tom, stop him from sucking his lips in and closing his eyes when he strikes please. Two very bad habits. Tom, your training is phenomenal. I've never seen it done better.
