THANK YOU, Dr. Berg!!!! I have had night headaches almost daily for over a year!!!! I destroyed my gut with ibuprofen for the pain. I also bought a $60 pillow that did NOTHING to fix the issue. After many doctors, I figured out it was coming from my neck and upper back. I went to physical therapy, and it helped temporarily. In the last month, the terrible headaches started again. They wake me up in the middle of the night, and I feel I can't move due to the pain. I just started with a Chiropractor, and I will begin these exercises IMMEDIATELY. You are a life saver!!!

My posture was excellent when I was young because, when I was in grade school, I didn't want to be one of those bent-over old ladies - then I went to a chiropractor when I was 12, and he told me my back was almost too straight. That scared me because I didn't know if that was dangerous. Bang! Gone was my good posture. Sigh. By the time I realized I should have ignored what he said, I was in the habit of slumping, and it was difficult to sit straight.

Be sure to read the last couple of sentences. Being a victim/veteran of back fusion and poor posture by skulking my way through life, I lacked the muscle memory for proper posture for decades. I stumbled across Dr. Berg's first three standing stretches and can vouch for their benefits over several decades. I had never seen #4, but certainly see the benefits and look forward to using this stretch. One that I do that I've never seen anywhere else is quite simple. I begin with the basics of chest out, tummy in. With feet nearly together, I begin to reach as high as I can. As I progress, I accentuate on focusing on all major and minor muscle groups, stretching and aligning my head over my shoulders, my torso and back centering them over my hips and ultimately my feet. I slowly release the tension while maintaining my posture. I feel as though I've regained an inch or two

Great exercises. I am going to start NOW. Also you can lay on the floor or other flat hard surface, you can use a yoga mat but DO NOT do it on a bed or other soft surface...Just lay down flat , put your arms over your head against the floor, like 'stick them up' move and can also stretch arms straight out to the side....Relax and keep the position for 10 minutes or so. You can put a firm rolled up towel under the last bone of the spinal column. Do everyday. 🥰

But I take breaks for different exercises, it is not only posture, but also exercises for the eyes, exercises for the pelvic area, because there is also stagnation there when you sit for a long time. When I have many subscribers on the channel, I plan to make a separate course of exercises for those who sit at the computer.
@scotttovey5 ай бұрын
Thanks for the exercise tip. Here's something you may not know because you don't wear bifocals. Bifocals can also give you major neck strain. Bifocals are designed and meant for reading books, not computer screens. This places the bifocal lens at the lower part of the glasses. When one is attempting to read the computer screen with one's bifocal lens, one tilts one's head backwards to bring the bifocal lens higher and into one's view range. This tilting of the head back puts the neck in an unnatural state for an extended period of time and as a result tensions the neck muscle causing strain. Using the bifocal lens to read the computer monitor can also lead to eye strain as one must maintain an unnatural position of the head and over a period of time one will struggle to maintain that position and invariably, rather than looking through the regular lens or the bifocal, one will be looking through that small part that lies between the normal lens and the bifocal lens. Consistently viewing through that small portion as one struggles to maintain the head position, strains the eyes. If the computer monitor can be arranged so that it is laying flat such as when reading a book, then the bifocals will work just fine without causing strain, otherwise a separate pair of reading glasses is necessary to alleviate the stress.

I first learned of the amazing fascia when I lived in Maui some years back. I was directed to this woman Jennifer who treated people for all sorts of issues using Bowen Therapy. She healed my 25 yr chronic shoulder neck pain after 2 visits. That was 2017 and I still do not suffer from it. Also, I broke my arm and wrist, she found out about it ( thru the coconut wireless) and called me. After surgery and PT, I went back to the hand surgeon and he said I should NOT be able to have that range of motion for a year. But Jennifer and I knew it was her fascia work! Since moving back to the Mainland I can't find anyone as good as her. It started in Australia and there's only a few good teachers. The practicioners I've encountered here have been kooks. I've since researched and there are those who have the right training, just might not be practicing in your State. It's so gentle you don't even know your being worked on, but it gets the nerves, muscles, and bones where they need to be. I'm not kidding, she even put some ribs back in place a couple times.

*Larry Burkett's book on "Giving and Tithing" drew me closer to God and helped my spirituality. 2020 was a year I literally lived it. I cashed in my life savings and gave it all away. My total giving amounted to 40,000 dollars. Everyone thought I was delusional. Today, 1 receive 85,000 dollars every two months. I have a property in Calabasas, CA, and travel a lot. God has promoted me more than once and opened doors for me to live beyond my dreams. God kept to his promises to and for me*

It is the digital market. That's been the secret to this wealth transfer. A lot of folks in the US and abroad are getting so much from it, God has been good to my household Thank you Jesus

I will commit to 30 DAYS STRAIGHT of this routine and let you all know where my back is at. See you September 19th 2024 youtube! Edit: THE RESULTS ARE IN YOU TUBE! After COMPLETE dedication (every single night for a month) to these exercises, my back and posture have shown NO SIGNIFICANT CHANGES AT ALL. I'm not sure about the other comments in here, but for me my back is completely the same as it was one month ago when I started. Sorry KZbin.

How can it be, that this video is up less than a day and yet there are many people writing: "10 years of pain and thanks to this video, no more pain" etc.? Bots? Bought comments? This is very fishy.

Placebo more likely. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to discredit the video, just saying a lot of people are looking for "the solution" that will solve everything. Typically every new thing they try solves it, until they forget about it and move on to the next "solution" a few days later. Then again, for a channel with millions of subscribers, it only takes one guy to get their pain healed to make a comment like that. Also people like to overexaggerate.
