I have worked for Wellpath and love the autonomy I have and the assessment skills I have the opportunity to use daily. I have always felt safe working in Correctional Nursing. I look forward to working for Wellpath and serving my patients. ❤️

I feel it would be great place and incredibly rewarding as a Nurse if you work as a Corrections Nurse with great experience and expanding in a new direction and long -term

I've been a nurse for 3 years now. Tried Corrections nursing for the 1st time last September & I LOVE it‼️ I too, NEVER thought I would but It's soooooo true you will HONE the heck out of your nursing skills, have lots of autonomy and you really get to use your nursing judgement.

Correctional nurse interviews and videos always seem to leave out the truth behind what a med pass is REALLY like at a prison. That is the mist lengthy part of a shift, but why are nurses not saying how it really is. That's my biggest deterrent.

@sarahchandler695 is it difficult to pass medications ? How many patients do you have to pass medications ?
@sarahchandler695Ай бұрын
@@gratitudetouniverse777 It was 65 to 100 inmates. I could no longer safely administer all these medications on software that displayed the EMAR orders in gray scale in micro print so small I could not see the orders on a small tablet and could not maximize the screen as it would cut off the right hand side of the orders. They were not adhering to the crush and float mandate either, nor were they making sure inmates were swallowing tablets with a cup of water and letting them walk off. I resigned.
