Keep it up brother, I’ve been in corrections for about two months and I’ve learned a lot in that time, you really just need to treat everyone like a human being and show respect, but also keep the firmness with policy and staying calm and articulate with the bs they play. I work for Alabama department of corrections , this shit so sweet. The money great, the job easy as hell. Honestly just show up to work, don’t bring in dope, don’t use unnecessary force and do what your supervisor asks as long as it’s reasonable and you’ll always have a job.

And stay focused!! And interview just be confident and you will be fine.

It took about 1 year, and some months... before I got my OF-5. Didn't get hired because of some negative marks on my credit. I've worked in State Corrections in 2 different States prior to applying to the Fed.

when i applied for the BOP at USP Hazelton, i didn’t get hired the 1st time either cause of a job i had in college i got fired from. had to wait a year to reapply but was well worth it
