If it happened in a province called "Entre Ríos", then this is not surprising at all for me. I'm Brazilian and used to travel a lot in Argentina by car. I visited 11 provinces and had problems with the road police in only one of them: Entre Ríos. It was always the same story: they invented some problem with the car, or some (supposedly) missing item, and then asked for cash in order to liberate you. Shame on them!

When he pulled out late at night passed a closed Wally’s station policeman was hidden in there he followed us to outside of town & pulled us over told my husband he was speeding in a school zone 11 miles over the speed limit. 9:00pm. We know he was not speeding but he said he had us on radar. We did not argue took the ticket where polite. He knows we were not speeding because we just pulled out of Casey’s next door to closed Wally’s. It was 10/31/2023 . It is bad economy small town they need the revenue quota for the month. No point in arguing. They always have upper hand. Long story short $202.00 ticket. In order to get class & court supervision so it does not go on record and cause your car insurance to go up.
