This case is perfect for someone who wants a compact, stylish, very well ventilated air cooled system. I’m so glad Corsair made this case, even if it’s not super water cool friendly, there are so many other options, where there aren’t good compact options like this 220T. Great review also.

Ph3nomen0N 100% correct. I run LL series fans in mine. 2 140’s in the front so I can move the hdd caddy forward and have more room for psu cables underneath. Then I’m running 2 120’s up top and one for exhaust. Noctua cpu cooler and a rog strix card. Everything runs in the 50’s to low 60’s air cooled. Its small, elegant, and functional for my uses. That hub is ONLY for RGB lighting controls using Corsair's iCUE software, it doesn't control fan speeds. You'll still need to plug it into the motherboard for that. Each of the Corsair fans will have 2 wires, one for RGB and one for PWM

@hardlinenexus5 жыл бұрын
I just bought the RMx 750 W PSU for my most recently PC build giveaway project. But I didn't test out the fitting in this case though. I believe that PSU is 160 mm length, it SHOULD fit in this 220T case without any issues. The harddrive cage is removable so you can fit any length PSU if you aren't using any harddrives. But with the cage still in, I'm 99% sure it should fit. As for the 2080 GPU, I don't have that card, but looking at the dimensions, it seems like it should fit like my twin fan 1080 Ti in this video. But again, not 100% sure. Just check the length of that card.

so mate, I made this case work for my build by removing the front dust filter and put the 3 fans on the outer side, then installed the radiator behind it for it offers more clearance to make room for the tubing coming from the bottom so you can still have room for the 120mm fan on top.

I bough this case a few day ago and installed a simple setup. An Asus Maximus VII hero with no GPU and the stock cpu cooler. This is used to simply watch movies on my TV. For simple setups, this case is really nice to work with. Quality is very good. Cable management on the backside is tight even with my basic setup using a modular PSU. I did remove the HD cage for some extra room for the PSU cables. The fans are quiet. The icue software worked first time, no issue. You do have to tell the software how many fans you are using. I installed a 120mm rear fan for good measure but for my setup, probably wasn't needed. This case is a great size for space constraints like I have in my living room. I was gonna get a Fractal Meshify C but this case in my opinion for basic setups is better. The front filter is far easier to remove and clean. The Mesihy C does have better space on the backside for cable management though. If they made the front filter on the Meshify C similar to the 220t, I could have easily gone with that case and just got my own fans. This case is definitely designed for smaller setups but if you have that, you can't go wrong. I got mine for $119 at microcenter.

I've got one of these (In White), on order at the moment for my 2nd Rig, which i keep air cooled. I think the price is right considering You get the 3 fans included, plus it does look the part. This is one of those cases which You need to check your requirements extra carefully before You buy. My specs going into this case are quite modest..... B450 MSI Mortarmax Board. Ryzen 5 2600X with Wraith Cooler. 16GB (2x8) Hyperfury 3200 RAM. Sapphire RX590 Nitro+ Gold. 2 SSD's for Dual Boot (Windows and Linux). Seasonic Focus 650W Gold. The Seasonic PSU is quite small, but even so i will still remove the HDD Dock. Great review and many thanks!

Well done proper review with realistic everyday builder problems. Found the corsair technical specs on their website very very misleading ..For the 220T it says that max GPU length is 300mm and that the case could take up to a 360 Aio. But then it doesn't say that you can only choose 1 of the options .Either 360 Aio upfront or 300mm Tri fan GPU.. After cracking my head for days over stupid measurements I went with the 275r Airflow. Wish i had stumbled upon your review earlier on. Cheers !

@@hardlinenexus Hi Haurjie. thank you for the reply and my apologies for only just replying. You could always remove a top fan and mount the radiator on the front with the tubes on top. once you have around 4 case fans adding more fans has far less of impact on cooling performance like less than 1 degree

Thanks for sharing. Best 220R review and the one I needed to watch.
