Hearing all those complaints about the battery charge and having to turn it off ... am I the only person who DOESN'T expect my wireless headset to last forever and think it's NORMAL to turn something off when I'm done using it? None of this stuff has ever bothered me.
@Tk3997
@Tk3997 5 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I swear to god it's dumb. First off the lights are silly anyway and if you're alone you can't even see them so just turn them off and then the one I have lasts at least half a day on a full charge. When the fuck are you going to need more then twelve hours continuously and I fail to see how taking 5 seconds to plug it in when I'm finished using it is any sort of drawback at all.

Since the manual fails to give complete instructions I will. Hope it helps someone. (Make sure software is downloaded first, before you follow these instructions) 1.) Plug the headset and charging cable both into the pc or wall outlet so power is reaching it. 2.) Plug the usb dongle into either the PC/Wall, or into the usb stand, (the usb stand only comes with the SE version of the headset, and is not necessary for use). 3.) FIRST insert a paperclip into the small opening of the USB dongle for 5 seconds untill it flashes. Once flashing begins you can let go of paperclip. 4.) Then you hold the power button on the headset for about roughly 5 seconds untill it begins flashing too, to signal its also in pairing mode. 5.) After the headset starts its flashing about 1 second later, the USB dongle will stop flashing, and that means its connected. Thats it. Sidenote. If your having issues. Make sure your headset is not dead. You can always try turning the headset off, then back on, then try re- pairing them. Also make sure your sound setting on your pc has headset selected. Otherwise you may not hear sound out of them. Also make sure the proper software is on your pc. Windows 10 should recognize the headset as Corsair Void, if you dont see that, make sure you have corsair software downloaded.

Just got mine Monday and it’s great, it sounds good, it’s wireless, the mic sounds better than any of the other gaming headsets I’ve had, my only issue Is the terrible icue software , the software itself isn’t bad but the issues it causes with my pc wasn’t worth it. I couldn’t launch my web browser or some of my other programs and the headsets wouldn’t play any sound after the software was installed. After uninstalling I cue fixed all my issues. I usually get around 12 hours of battery charge which works well for me. Also they are insanely comfortable even during long play sessions, so I would recommend buying them but I’d say skip the icue software until they update it and fix the issue.

Yeah that is true, and then again the Sennheiser 800 series is the type of headphones a person that works with sound for a living would get, since it doesnt come with a microphone and people around you might hear the foul language of CS:GO players. Man these DACS nowadays cost so much, the proprietary HDVD 800 costs a whooping 2200€ and the Benchmark DAC3 HGC is the same price. But i suppose if you are a movie aficionado and you watch Netflix all day, these headphones paired with an LG OLED tv will make you live the dream xD, if you got a minimum of 5000€/$ ready that is hehe.

Excellent video as always Dmitry, keep up the good work.

This video has actually made me doubt the veracity of HardwareCanucks reviews. I have been through a Sennheiser Game Zero and Game One, using both their own GSX1000 mixamp and an standalone Objective2 DAC, the sound quality and microphone pickup on these models is absolute rubbish. The microphone and speaker quality on the Corsair Void RGB wireless which I replaced those with is actually superior in comparison, which I found very surprising compared to other analogue / DAC-driven headsets. Although using the RGB definitely does accelerate the battery drain, I have never had the battery lose 30% in an hour and I leave the RGB on solid white, maybe it's possible you have a bad pair. "Somehow the headset was still pulling power" > because you didn't turn it off. Of course it's going to keep pinging, looking for a signal from the dongle Put your mobile phone in a Faraday cage and watch how quickly its battery gets sucked dry in standby as it tries to find a signal, the headset is no different.

The battery life is fine if you only use it at night when you don't want to keep the neighbours awake, at day i use my 5.1 speaker system anyway and my VOID usually lasts me multiple nights, i also have the RGB active, just static blue, maybe blinky rainbow puke needs more power? But i have the audio level at 20% which is more than enough for most things. ...except for when i need to hear footsteps in PUBG then i go for 100% (i hate that game for that). I had no idea that the microphone was THAT bad though (and they replace it and it is STILL this bad? is there any point in getting the PRO over the normal one now?). Good thing i never talk to people online anyway, would actually like it if you could disconnect the pointless microphone completely... slightly annoying when i use it on my Oculus Rift to have the microphone arm dangling around there as well. PS: it is cute that you can shake it off your head and make it look bad in the video, but realistically you don't throw your head around like that, not even in VR. ...and for VR the wireless part is exponentially more important and they do sound quite a bit better than the default rift headphones and the Vive doesn't have any.

huh, idk if its this video, or hardware canucks got sent a shitty version, or they messed with it intentionally. my friend normally uses these for our rainbow six siege plays, the mic sounds x1000000 better than what they sound in this video, i guess time to reconsider other reviews where mics were shit as well.| EDIT: the only other thing i can think of is Discord making them sound better but is that really a thing? if not the only other options are those 3 above because shes been using them outta the box since day one

corsair expects you to have a sound card to process sound accurately, which is where the neodynium drivers can pick up from as they can compute the 7.1 audio from the sound card to the speakers. if you don't then the CUE will do the best it can to emulate surround sound. true 7.1 is where you have several speakers, but 7.1 drivers are still 7.1 none the less (but it sounds true with a sound card).

Obligatory: Just get a really good pair of audiophile grade headphones and an amp. You'd be amazed at how much better it sounds. Case in point, the SHP9500 headphones. You don't even need an amp for them and they cost half as much as this. Get a VModa modmic or even a Blue Snowball/Snowflake for your mic and you are under or around the same cost with better sound and a better mic!

The SteelSeries Siberia V2 is an amazing headset. It has survived so far, 5 years of drops, twisted cables, attempts to stretch the shit out of it so that it's not so tight on my head, the mic is great, etc. See that's the problem with the Siberia, it feels like you're wearing a vice grip. Otherwise it would be an excellent headset. So I need something else (that's why I'm watching this). The question about this set... MicroUSB connection? That must be a real hassle to keep attached (if you desire it to be)? Edit: Nevermind, you answered that question (only for charging).

In my experience, the microphone stem is very fragile. (I have the normal VOID wireless, but I'm pretty sure it's the same with this one.) Just a slight accidental bump in the wrong direction might cause the base where it rotates to completely come off, which happened to me. So would the corsair void (not pro) or the Logitech g930 be better? I have heard mixed reviews for both. I want a one package, wireless deal, not get headphones and a Mic.

Rev_dude In theory, the G930's (or g933) may be better in audio quality as it allows for more types of surround 7.1 audio options. However, and I'm saying this from multiple personal experiences, the logitech headsets have a bunch of bugs. The mic is bad with loud background noises, the audio has static when it's turned up, it disconnects randomly, the surround sounds robotic at times. The fully functional safe card is the VOID.

Don't buy a "gaming" headset. Get a solid pair of headphones like Sennheiser, Audio Technica, HIFIMAN or Beyerdynamic. Then simply add a Antlion Modmic. Boom you know have any amazing pair of headphones for gaming that blows all the "gaming" headphones out of the fucking water. Trust me, I learned this the hard way. Don't make my mistake guys!

I've heard the cloud revolvers aren't too shabby. I used to have a pair of HyperX Cloud Stingers and they were great for what I paid. HyperX(Kingston) in general are one of the best "gaming" brands. I've heard the Cloud II are excellent also. So don't sweat the revolvers man!

Nice. I've heard good things about the HD 598s. I really like my DT 770s for when I want to block out sound and have a bit more bass or when I am traveling for work. The ATH 700s are great for gaming and more treble/mid strong music. The 700s are open back so they aren't good for taking out in public or when my girlfriend is in the same room though. Just something to keep in mind if you have roommates/GF or wife.

Don't get me wrong the DT 770s are excellent for home use too. But the 598s are fantastic too. I'd just look into whether you want open or closed back headphones and go from there.

I just bought this headset and for $99, it's a lot better than the Razer Man O War with a headband top piece that broke, not once, but twice. So I am done with Razer headsets. The Void's adjustability is awesome and it's perfect for bigger heads. The plug/power issue is a con and the EQ presets suck but once you figure out how to dial the EQ in to your preferences, it's better than the Razer. The wireless range is also better than the Man O War. I will buy the next version if they improve the Void further. I would use a wired set but I have egronomic elbow rests to prevent Carpal Tunnel and the cable gets caught up in it every time.

Best headset for both music and gaming: Plantronics RIG 800LX Well, I tried many headphones (gaming and non-gaming -- the non-gaming ones were the Sony MDR-7506 and Sennheiser HD 8 DJ headphones). I'm returning them all and keeping Plantronics' 800LX which basically wins in comfort and sound clarity (regarding the lows, mids, and highs). I played a good quality vocal trance song and played Battlefield 1 with all the headphones I'm going to mention and it won. Best Comfort: Turtlebeach, Steelseries, and Plantronics were the 3 most comfortable headphones I've tried out of them all. The Hyperx Cloud II headphones were very painful to wear and I'd never recommend them to anyone (although I totally understand that not everyone will have this problem they are the only headphones that gave me this problem). Comparisons Corsair Void Pro RGB - Bass, mid, and high sounds not as clear as the Plantronics 800LX. Comfortable to wear. Astro A40 - Not as comfortable as the Plantronics 800LX and a pain in the ass to figure out how to plug it in. Old KZbin videos that could help me figure it out are showing parts that the box doesn't even include. ***Plantronics 800LX - clearer sounding than the Arctis 7. Very comfortable. Best one out of them all. Sennheiser HD 8 DJ - Sound quality not as clear / good as the Arctis 7. Volume too low. Steelseries Arctis 7 - The bass is too muddy compared to the other headphones. I can tell that its bass isn't as clear as the others and when you turn it up the loudness is too loud and causes pain. Hyperx Cloud II headphones - Ears immediately started hurting after I put these on and as the pain kept increasing they also became very hot. Caused a gradual and overwhelming headache, as well. Good quality sound but way too painful to bother trying to break in.

It is great, battery life is decent around 4-5 hours, It gives you a couple of noticeable beeps when its beginning to lose its charge. Great Corsair app that you're able to download also, turn rbg lighting off, adjust volumes ect. Only thing I dont like is how big and bulky it can be, it almost feels like it weighs down my head, but honestly nothing to really complain about. Hope it helps.

You said about it being loose and falling off and this is always a problem for me because I put headphones on over my hair and only has contact with my hair and my hair is really smooth and soft so I just put a head band/sweat band/Alice band over the headphones and it works absolutely amazingly but then it could be too tight and is awkward for always taking it on and off and doesn't look that nice but it works
