To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. kzbin.infoUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

I've tried a lot of gaming headsets over the years. Wireless ones, wired ones, you name it. I've come to the conclusion that, well, they all suck. Every last one of them. Doesn't matter if you spend $100, $200, or even $400, they've all got issues. Most of them don't sound amazing. Every headset I've ever used seem to have lackluster crunchy underwater mics, and if the mics are good, we lead into durability issues, that seem to plague almost all of the headsets on the market. Sometimes it's the headband. Sometimes it's the coupling to the headband. More than likely it's the microphone, which stops muting when it flips up, or stops functioning entirely, or gets a static buzz over time. I gave up. I bought Audio Technica ATH-M50xs, a Shure SM58, a mic desk arm boom on Amazon, and a Steinberg UR22 to plug the mic into. Expensive? Yes. $400 is a lot compared to some of the other options. But, I use them for music recording and such as well so it wasn't just for gaming. I think it was worth every penny. I'll never buy another goddamn gaming headset. The last 7 just turned me away. Brands, prices, didn't matter.

I'm weary of the 935s as I had *SO MANY ISSUES with my 933s.* having to press the re-set button multiple times, having to go delve through the internet to find solutions to random issues like the mic not un-muting no matter what i tried, the headset just refusing to connect sometimes, to the red flashing of death. their issues were a headache and left a sour taste in my mouth But now I'm also experiencing some issues with my Corsair Virtuoso Wireless headset, issues like mic not working after they re-connect from a dropped drop signal from me walking to my kitchen and back, to the audio just completely cutting out and having to unplug then re-plug-in the dongle to fix the issue, to the headset just randomly NOT playing audio from discord yet playing audio just fine from the game and/or chrome, which I have to notice "hey my friends on discord are oddly quiet- oh, I see their green circles lighting up around their Profile Pics and I see I'm still in the channel" which makes me have to leave the channel then re-join to fix this mysterious issue has anyone else experience these issues?

The largest problem with Logitech wireless headset is the power "switch" is a physical connection switch that quite swiftly wears out from just turning it on/off daily. Once the plastic slide the switch is on starts wearing, the physical connection isn't steady, the headset stops working, and the only solution is to buy another one or open the headset and try to fix the switch. If they changed their power button to any other switch type, they would be great.

My logitech G930 has no replaceable battery, the p-leather cup lining -flaked- disintergrated, after the headset had been out of use a while, when I put them on again. The lining didn't look any different, maybe dusty, but it just flaked off on my ears and shoulders exposing the foam underneath. So now the old G930 unit looks shaggy af ..it came with proprietary presets limited to a fairly narrow range of dated apps. But the OS system and newer games still hooked it in okay so it was fine on Ventrilo, Discord and them Voice apps. It still works, but materials fabrication quality and proprietary functionality leave me cold and the purchase cost was not 'cheap', nor was it 'competitive' compared to commercial market quality control in the audio pro/media industry. But these was the optimal wireless headset for pc gaming, back in the day. Everything for pc was made super cheesy and cheaptastic quality to bleed juniors and the must have schoolboy/girl segment. So I hope that has changed, given the pricing and build expectations of comparable product in the commercial sector. The Astro A50s are definitely expensive, but they are amazing. SO comfortable, DON'T creak, are made of premium feeling strong materials, and have great 7.1 surround sound. The only problem I've had with Astros is that they're not loud enough at max volume. But to be fair they are definitely loud enough for games, just for movies they are sometimes not as loud as desired. Also with the previous generation of the A50s there were wireless connectivity issues that would cause the audio to cut out for a second or two. I've experienced this myself because my wireless router is in my room and it used to cause interference before I changed the wifi channel in the settings. However I hear that's fixed with the new ones and I plan to get them soon, and finally put my 4 year old gen 3 A50s to rest lmao. Btw after 4 years I still get full day battery life (15 hour battery life advertised on the box), which just impresses the fuck out of me. I love my Astros. 300 bucks well spent 4 years later.

The Corsair Virtuoso Wireless RGBs are pretty good, 7/10. At first, they were super uncomfortable (and kind of painful) for me because the ear cups pressed against the top and bottom of my ears, but after about a week of use I don't feel the sensation at all anymore. Regardless, the ear cups really should have been tall ovals instead of circles. The padding is also a bit stiff, but it's far from the worst headset I've used as far as comfort goes. Another thing I should mention is that for pretty much all other headsets I've ever worn, I only have to extend the earcups three to five clicks down. For these, I typically have to use nine or ten clicks, and it only goes up to eleven (for a total of twelve settings per earcup including zero clicks), so if you have a large head, they may not be super comfortable (that's just speculation though). Games and video sound pretty good, but music just sounds terrible compared to my Sony WH-1000XM3 (I'm not claiming to be an audiophile (they would laugh at me if I said I was and used that Sony pair), just more discerning than the average listener). Seriously, if you like hearing detail in songs, look somewhere else. Honestly you really shouldn't be looking at gaming headsets at all; I've never heard a gaming headset sound good for music listening. Given that, I would imagine that for casual listeners, these would be *fine*, certainly better than AirPods and the like. I don't really notice enough of a difference between wired and wireless, so I just use wireless most of the time. The wireless latency is unnoticeable to me compared to wired. I actually mainly got these because the latency of the Sony pair over Bluetooth was pretty annoying. Just keep in mind that if you do plan on using them wirelessly, I would get a USB extender so the USB receiver has line-of-sight with the headset because at least in my set-up, having the receiver plugged in to the back of my PC would cause signal drops occasionally. I could also have it plugged into the front panel, but I don't like keeping things plugged into it as I find it a bit unsightly. Charging via USB-C is really nice, but if you're charging while wearing the headset, the port is angled in such a way that the cable goes *back* towards your left shoulder instead of straight down which is really annoying. Charging also takes surprisingly long, but it's not a big deal if you get into the habit of remembering when to charge. I use the headset for anywhere from three to six hours a day with the RGB turned off and I probably have to charge it every four or five days. I'm primarily a Linux user (Manjaro), and the headset works perfectly fine without the iCue software running all the time. I do have it installed on my Windows 11 virtual machine so I can change settings if I need to, but the headset saves RGB and sleep timer settings in its onboard memory. The biggest downside is that you don't get a battery indicator. It doesn't even show up in the Device Viewer in KDE Plasma like my Logitech G502 Lightspeed does (without using Logitech's G HUB software). The headset has a small status LED on the bottom of the left earcup and flashes green, orange, or red depending on the remaining charge and beeps every so often when the charge is low (I haven't paid attention to how often it is, but if I had to guess it's probably about every five or ten minutes so it's not super annoying).

@TheDwarvenDefender3 жыл бұрын
@@fortigan2174 The point is sound quality. The point is people are poor. A pair of earbuds costs like $5. Studio reference headphones cost like $40. For the price of "one of the more affordable in the line-up today," you could get enough high-quality wired headphones for a family of three. Getting a small family's worth of "affordable" wireless headphones? Around the price of an Xbox Series S. Call me when trickle-down techonomics kicks in and "affordable" actually means affordable.
@fortigan21743 жыл бұрын
@@TheDwarvenDefender You are still missing the point. This vid is not about "headphones" or earbuds, it's about wireless gaming "headsets". And yes there are a lot of major differences. The first and most obvious is that headphones don't have a mic. The second is the need for portability without a wire. The third (in relation to earbuds with a mic) is about the mic quality. When it comes to wireless sound and pickup, there is a huge variation in quality across the products on the market. In most cases, a cheap set or earbuds will simply not cut it. Bear in mind he is listing the BEST, not the cheapest, and that quality comes at a premium. A person's wallet does not determine the quality of the presented products. The technology and components needed to keep the sound of wireless devices as close to their wired counterparts are not cheap. Having owned several wireless headsets over the years I can tell the difference between the good ones and bad ones. If you want and can afford a quality wireless headset, his choices are solid and the prices fit the established industry standards. Your argument hinges on variables unrelated to this video. Expecting a wireless headset price to be the same (or near the same) as a wired one is unrealistic.

A big reason why Astros are so popular with streamers is how consoles, mainly the Playstation 4 (not sure if this is the case with the xbox one) don't allow the audio from the HDMI to function while using a USB headset, so you need a separate audio output on your headset to get audio into an elgato or similar capture device. You can't use a headset for streaming if it just has a USB dongle on consoles.

I bought the Arctis 7 a bit more than 2 years ago and at first was quite happy with it. It is very comfortable, soundquality is nice, the mic is great and the overall design is amazing. After about a year the charging-port broke off due to poor soldering. This meant, that i couldn't charge the headset anymore and because the mic only works when connected wirelessly, the product became useless. The CS at Steelseries took forever to reply and then asked me to provide pictures of the broken part, for which i had to open up the headset, which they in turn used as an arguement to deny replacement/refund. After quite a bit of hassle, they eventually agreed to replace it. One year later, the same problem occured and this time the product was just outside the warrenty period. Instead of taking responsibility for selling a fundamentally flawed product, they simply shut me off with false simpathy and didn't even give me the chance to respond by marking the case as "solved". Having technical issues can happen, but you have to take responsibility and should never use formalities as an excuse to deny decent CS. Never again Steelseries!!

I tested most of these headphones and came to the same conclusion that LTT did, the G935s sound amazing. Tons of bass and clarity, and they play LOUD, unlike my arctis 7's which even at full volume sound quiet. Kinda loud, but still not uncomfortably so. The G935's will hurt you if you crank them up all the way. Wish battery life was better and they had USB C instead of micro usb for charging, but otherwise wireless range is good and the sq is what really seals the deal. I thought logitech would use crappy drivers and have crappy sound since they're not an audio company, but they sound fantastic.
@shippy1001 Жыл бұрын
Been using the G935s for awhile, and I do not recommend it, they indeed sound amazing, but it has a lot of issues with G hub software and Windows drivers, your Windows got an update? well too bad now your headset will keep de-sync with the dongle all the time, you go for Logitech support they ask you to try on a different computer... Oh yeah my $2k computer is the problem not the $150 headset, sure, also why does other wireless headsets works just fine? Sure is not Logitech drivers or the terrible G Hub software, this happens constantly, sometimes I used for a week with no issues, sometimes is every single day, if you want to buy one, be aware of those issues...

Just as a heads up, although the Logitech's sound creaky, they are sturdy, after more than 3 years of usage of my G933 (previous model to the G935) they are still working and have no problem whatsoever. Steelseries doesn't last, the pressure they apply to your head actually breaks the headphone off where it meets the headband. this happens in all of the models that have this headband, even in the super expensive Arctis Pro Wireless. And the Support from "Stealseries"? Does not exist. I created a support ticket and the only response I got was the automated one saying my ticket was closed, yeah thanks a lot SteelSeries!

Bought the Corsair Virtuoso because of this video. Sending it back as it's a widely spread issue that the volume control is complete trash, it does it's own thing, often going to full volume when you're at 30% and trying to turn it down. Battery is completely random, sometimes it will last 10 hours, other times it will last 4 hours. You may also find one side much louder than the other, despite everything being balanced in Windows. Frustrating issues for a £150 headset.

I can say the Pros are incredible for my tastes. The audio is awesome and personally I find them very comfortable. Another factor why I like the Steelseries design (I have both the Pros and the Arctic 7s) is they so far have been nigh indestructible. I find the audio on the Pro's to be a huge leap from the 7s, but from speaking with friends the microphone is only somewhat better. I haven't done extensive testing or tweaking though, so it may be my fault. Over all I agree with Bener Senel, I have zero regrets on buying them.

Another great thing about the Pro Wireless, is they are so versatile. They only say for "PC/Ps4", but the Ps4 option simply enables the optical in/out. So I can use them with my blu ray player, by using the optical out on my tv. the receiver also has aux in/out. So anything can be used with them. plus they have Bluetooth *&* 2.4ghz, so its very cool to have multiple audio sources available.

If you have the cash to splash, the Astro A50s are an amazing headset. No faults besides the price tag. The programme allows for three custom sound profiles, but the three presets are already amazing so it's ready to use our of the box.

personally i preferred the arctis over astro. astro are realistically a $300 headset not the $550 they're going for (that's AUD). the arctis are like $359 new, so much more comfort, has bluetooth, can be used without being powered on via 3.5mm cable. honestly sound way better in my opinion for gaming. use 2.4ghz so range travels better through walls etc. lighter, and use skiband for the top of the head.

I got the Corsair Viruososo SE and I LOVE THEM. Also, the range is around 60ft, not 25ft as these guys put it. It depends on what type of walls you have and what objects are in the way between the headphones and the receiver. I get around 50ish FT before the single starts dropping.
@Schwenne19944 жыл бұрын
I got the regular ones because the mic sounded better but i dont understand how for the Virtuoso as a whole they didnt include a mic test. The mic sounds fantastic for a wireless headset and even really great compared to wired headsets
@noxistudios4 жыл бұрын
Also got the Corsair Virtuoso. I live in a tiny house, I can't leave the room (12ft+) without increasingly frequent drop outs. Also for some reason near Max Charge and Low Charge, the headset will randomly lose audio for 2-5seconds + at a time. Also, battery life is closer to 12 hours than advertised 20 hours. Also at 0 charge, the headphones can take up to 5-10 minutes to turn on after being cabled up (regardless of being set to wire or usb mode). Also the (nicely braided) charging cable isn't exactly short, but it's no where near as long as cheaper competitors. Also if the headset does lose connection, the mic is automatically turned back on - potentially a barrel of laughs if you've ran to the toilet in the middle of a raid. Also.
