I typically use my SHP9500's for music, movies, etc. but I got a set of Razer Nari Essential headphones, and they really fucking suck. I think I'm gonna send them back. They're brand new and after a full charge, they keep beeping at me about low battery. And they sound like muffled dog shit. And don't even get me started on the mic. Holy fuck, what a potato. Razer should be ashamed of themselves for ever trying to charge $100 for this turd of a headset. I got them for $35 and they STILL aren't worth that much. Edit: Yep, that's it. I'm sending them back and getting the Steel Series Arctic 1. They're 50% off right now.

To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. kzbin.infoUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

I've tried a lot of gaming headsets over the years. Wireless ones, wired ones, you name it. I've come to the conclusion that, well, they all suck. Every last one of them. Doesn't matter if you spend $100, $200, or even $400, they've all got issues. Most of them don't sound amazing. Every headset I've ever used seem to have lackluster crunchy underwater mics, and if the mics are good, we lead into durability issues, that seem to plague almost all of the headsets on the market. Sometimes it's the headband. Sometimes it's the coupling to the headband. More than likely it's the microphone, which stops muting when it flips up, or stops functioning entirely, or gets a static buzz over time. I gave up. I bought Audio Technica ATH-M50xs, a Shure SM58, a mic desk arm boom on Amazon, and a Steinberg UR22 to plug the mic into. Expensive? Yes. $400 is a lot compared to some of the other options. But, I use them for music recording and such as well so it wasn't just for gaming. I think it was worth every penny. I'll never buy another goddamn gaming headset. The last 7 just turned me away. Brands, prices, didn't matter.

I've tried a couple of headsets and needed a new one from my old Logitech headset dying. I would have gone with the G935s but Logitech's software has been a bit of a joke and the RGB gamerboy thing doesn't really appeal to me. I go the Corsair Virtuoso's, out of the box the EQ settings are waaaay off. Once you tweak them with the EQ settings they sound a lot better. I have to agree, Corsair needs to set them up right from the start. with the Dolby Atmos spatial sound games sound really really good. Although I turn it off for music listening because it does funky things. I also get more range out than they did, but who knows on that one.

Not the best, but a good option if your headphones are compatible. About the same quality but without the compatibility problems there is the Antlion ModMic Omni. The ModMic Uni is also ok if you apply EQ (cut the bass, boost the highs and use a couple notches to reduce resonances). If you really want good sound quality with the noise reduction and comfort of a gaming headset you have to DIY. Like soldering the capsule of a DPA 4088 to a ModMic.

the hyperx cloud flight review was a bit unfair, all you mentioned was the default EQ settings and nothing more. for people considering these, they have a very easy mute button on the side. the entire left cup in a button for muting, you can plug them in through 3.5mm jack (and removable mic), the wireless range is pretty good and the spatial audio is good as well. i really think the review for these headphones was really bare bones and something was off about it. everywhere else people have praised the cloud flight but here you shit on them and then that's its, with all other headsets you gave good and bad points but the hyper X you gave a bad point and that's. i think its a bit ironic you saying the headset was rushed when you clearly rushed that part of the video.

And to add to this, I have heard pretty much only bad stuff about the Logitech. I own an Artemis 933 and while it does sound good, the build quality is abyssmal, half the buttons including the power switch don't work anymore and the microphone is a piece of garbage. The 935 is only a very slight upgrade to the 933, so I will treat them like they are the same. I bought a Cloud Flight recently and it is just better than the Logitech Headsets. This review is not very professional. Edit: Something very important that I just remembered; he complains about the minimalistic HyperX software but does not even mention the absolute garbage that is GHub... Logitech has BY FAR the worst software on the market and I had to downgrade to the Logitech Gaming Software from GHub because the latter just turned half my Logitech products into unusable bricks, messed with settings or just randomly disconnected them. I would take HyperX software or no software at all over this Logitech Bullshit.

It doesn't affect sales much because the average gamer is indifferent. I know people don't like being the special case but really I've never heard someone really complain about chat mics on headsets. Most people just don't care, If they want a good mic for recording they just buy a really good one. If they aren't recording they don't give a toss. Hence the manu guys dont give a toss. @Cfilorvyls In the year 2020 it really is not a challenge to encode, wirelessly transmit, receive and decode high quality single channel audio in less than the 8 ms required before humans start being able to notice a delay. The largest problem with Logitech wireless headset is the power "switch" is a physical connection switch that quite swiftly wears out from just turning it on/off daily. Once the plastic slide the switch is on starts wearing, the physical connection isn't steady, the headset stops working, and the only solution is to buy another one or open the headset and try to fix the switch. If they changed their power button to any other switch type, they would be great.

My logitech G930 has no replaceable battery, the p-leather cup lining -flaked- disintergrated, after the headset had been out of use a while, when I put them on again. The lining didn't look any different, maybe dusty, but it just flaked off on my ears and shoulders exposing the foam underneath. So now the old G930 unit looks shaggy af ..it came with proprietary presets limited to a fairly narrow range of dated apps. But the OS system and newer games still hooked it in okay so it was fine on Ventrilo, Discord and them Voice apps. It still works, but materials fabrication quality and proprietary functionality leave me cold and the purchase cost was not 'cheap', nor was it 'competitive' compared to commercial market quality control in the audio pro/media industry. But these was the optimal wireless headset for pc gaming, back in the day. Everything for pc was made super cheesy and cheaptastic quality to bleed juniors and the must have schoolboy/girl segment. So I hope that has changed, given the pricing and build expectations of comparable product in the commercial sector. One dollar in my wallet should hold the same value as a dollar in somebody else's wallet. Know what I mean?

The Astro A50s are definitely expensive, but they are amazing. SO comfortable, DON'T creak, are made of premium feeling strong materials, and have great 7.1 surround sound. The only problem I've had with Astros is that they're not loud enough at max volume. But to be fair they are definitely loud enough for games, just for movies they are sometimes not as loud as desired. Also with the previous generation of the A50s there were wireless connectivity issues that would cause the audio to cut out for a second or two. I've experienced this myself because my wireless router is in my room and it used to cause interference before I changed the wifi channel in the settings. However I hear that's fixed with the new ones and I plan to get them soon, and finally put my 4 year old gen 3 A50s to rest lmao. I bought the g935s around 6 months ago and ended up replacing them in 3 months: -terrible range -looks stupid -feels like a toy -surround sound didn’t even work -my head band adjustments wouldn’t stay because the mechanism was awful -hurt my ears after only an hour of gaming -even though I was very gentle, the charging port broke -bad battery life -worst mic on a headset I’ve ever heard -software sucks +great audio, however the headset I upgraded to (virtuoso wireless) remedied all these issues and sounded just as good if not better with some tuning

The Corsair Virtuoso Wireless RGBs are pretty good, 7/10. At first, they were super uncomfortable (and kind of painful) for me because the ear cups pressed against the top and bottom of my ears, but after about a week of use I don't feel the sensation at all anymore. Regardless, the ear cups really should have been tall ovals instead of circles. The padding is also a bit stiff, but it's far from the worst headset I've used as far as comfort goes. Another thing I should mention is that for pretty much all other headsets I've ever worn, I only have to extend the earcups three to five clicks down. For these, I typically have to use nine or ten clicks, and it only goes up to eleven (for a total of twelve settings per earcup including zero clicks), so if you have a large head, they may not be super comfortable (that's just speculation though). Games and video sound pretty good, but music just sounds terrible compared to my Sony WH-1000XM3 (I'm not claiming to be an audiophile (they would laugh at me if I said I was and used that Sony pair), just more discerning than the average listener). Seriously, if you like hearing detail in songs, look somewhere else. Honestly you really shouldn't be looking at gaming headsets at all; I've never heard a gaming headset sound good for music listening. Given that, I would imagine that for casual listeners, these would be *fine*, certainly better than AirPods and the like. I don't really notice enough of a difference between wired and wireless, so I just use wireless most of the time. The wireless latency is unnoticeable to me compared to wired. I actually mainly got these because the latency of the Sony pair over Bluetooth was pretty annoying. Just keep in mind that if you do plan on using them wirelessly, I would get a USB extender so the USB receiver has line-of-sight with the headset because at least in my set-up, having the receiver plugged in to the back of my PC would cause signal drops occasionally. I could also have it plugged into the front panel, but I don't like keeping things plugged into it as I find it a bit unsightly. Charging via USB-C is really nice, but if you're charging while wearing the headset, the port is angled in such a way that the cable goes *back* towards your left shoulder instead of straight down which is really annoying. Charging also takes surprisingly long, but it's not a big deal if you get into the habit of remembering when to charge. I use the headset for anywhere from three to six hours a day with the RGB turned off and I probably have to charge it every four or five days. I'm primarily a Linux user (Manjaro), and the headset works perfectly fine without the iCue software running all the time. I do have it installed on my Windows 11 virtual machine so I can change settings if I need to, but the headset saves RGB and sleep timer settings in its onboard memory. The biggest downside is that you don't get a battery indicator. It doesn't even show up in the Device Viewer in KDE Plasma like my Logitech G502 Lightspeed does (without using Logitech's G HUB software). The headset has a small status LED on the bottom of the left earcup and flashes green, orange, or red depending on the remaining charge and beeps every so often when the charge is low (I haven't paid attention to how often it is, but if I had to guess it's probably about every five or ten minutes so it's not super annoying).

@@fortigan2174 The point is sound quality. The point is people are poor. A pair of earbuds costs like $5. Studio reference headphones cost like $40. Getting a small family's worth of "affordable" wireless headphones? Around the price of an Xbox Series S. Call me when trickle-down techonomics kicks in and "affordable" actually means affordable.

@@TheDwarvenDefender You are still missing the point. This vid is not about "headphones" or earbuds, it's about wireless gaming "headsets". And yes there are a lot of major differences. The first and most obvious is that headphones don't have a mic. The second is the need for portability without a wire. The third (in relation to earbuds with a mic) is about the mic quality. When it comes to wireless sound and pickup, there is a huge variation in quality across the products on the market. In most cases, a cheap set or earbuds will simply not cut it. Bear in mind he is listing the BEST, not the cheapest, and that quality comes at a premium. A person's wallet does not determine the quality of the presented products. The technology and components needed to keep the sound of wireless devices as close to their wired counterparts are not cheap. Having owned several wireless headsets over the years I can tell the difference between the good ones and bad ones. If you want and can afford a quality wireless headset, his choices are solid and the prices fit the established industry standards. Your argument hinges on variables unrelated to this video. Expecting a wireless headset price to be the same (or near the same) as a wired one is unrealistic.

pretty disappointing video, doesn't feel very well researched and the headsets weren't fairly tested. Yes, the Arctis 7's mic was backwards (probably not their fault) but hey still should have tested with the Arctis Pros. The Arctis 7s were given a negative review for too strong of a grip even though that's really vague. I've had the Arctis 7's for over a year now with over intense 9hr sessions and the headset never started to hurt or fall off into an uncomfortable position. Inversely, I use to have Corsair's VOID headset and that thing moved with every breath and the padding wore out in less than a month. Feels like this video was rushed and ill-informed.

A big reason why Astros are so popular with streamers is how consoles, mainly the Playstation 4 (not sure if this is the case with the xbox one) don't allow the audio from the HDMI to function while using a USB headset, so you need a separate audio output on your headset to get audio into an elgato or similar capture device. You can't use a headset for streaming if it just has a USB dongle on consoles.

I bought the Arctis 7 a bit more than 2 years ago and at first was quite happy with it. It is very comfortable, soundquality is nice, the mic is great and the overall design is amazing. After about a year the charging-port broke off due to poor soldering. This meant, that i couldn't charge the headset anymore and because the mic only works when connected wirelessly, the product became useless. The CS at Steelseries took forever to reply and then asked me to provide pictures of the broken part, for which i had to open up the headset, which they in turn used as an arguement to deny replacement/refund. After quite a bit of hassle, they eventually agreed to replace it. One year later, the same problem occured and this time the product was just outside the warrenty period. Instead of taking responsibility for selling a fundamentally flawed product, they simply shut me off with false simpathy and didn't even give me the chance to respond by marking the case as "solved". Having technical issues can happen, but you have to take responsibility and should never use formalities as an excuse to deny decent CS. Never again Steelseries!!

I tested most of these headphones and came to the same conclusion that LTT did, the G935s sound amazing. Tons of bass and clarity, and they play LOUD, unlike my arctis 7's which even at full volume sound quiet. Kinda loud, but still not uncomfortably so. The G935's will hurt you if you crank them up all the way. Wish battery life was better and they had USB C instead of micro usb for charging, but otherwise wireless range is good and the sq is what really seals the deal. I thought logitech would use crappy drivers and have crappy sound since they're not an audio company, but they sound fantastic.

Oh yeah my $2k computer is the problem not the $150 headset, sure, also why does other wireless headsets works just fine? Sending it back as it's a widely spread issue that the volume control is complete trash, it does it's own thing, often going to full volume when you're at 30% and trying to turn it down. Also for some reason near Max Charge and Low Charge, the headset will randomly lose audio for 2-5seconds + at a time. Also, battery life is closer to 12 hours than advertised 20 hours. Also at 0 charge, the headphones can take up to 5-10 minutes to turn on after being cabled up (regardless of being set to wire or usb mode). Also the (nicely braided) charging cable isn't exactly short, but it's no where near as long as cheaper competitors. Also if the headset does lose connection, the mic is automatically turned back on - potentially a barrel of laughs if you've ran to the toilet in the middle of a raid. Also.

That's what I was thinking, I had to rewind to make sure that the sound I was hearing from the HyperX and not just someone else talking in the video.

I just have to say thank you for the equalizer for the Virtuoso XT, I've been struggling to find the right one and the sound was straight out horrible. Now, it's PERFEKTO. You legend, God bless you.

Logitech headsets are designed to look nice on reviews. Then they break after you use them for 6 months.

@@SyncF At least Audio Technica is a company sole on audio equipment which is is a good starting point to do your research into headset. Personally I would concentrate on audio only type of company. What do you think? (btw I am a very casual pc gamer)

I've gone through a lot of wireless gaming headsets. Currently trialling the nari ultimates. They're great comfort-wise and the vibration thing is actually pretty cool, but as someone who lives in an apartment block with lots of wireless devices they have a huge issue with interference.

Downside of the nari ultimate is that the haptic feedback drains battery like crazy just 2 days of gaming and they're dead
