Amazing! This is so creative and beautiful! The only thing that bothers me about it is the thickness of the ribbon. I think it would look much more elegant if the ribbon was a lot thinner. That way you can see the design a little better.

I suppose in way they are. They're just french braids, but you braid the strands under as opposed to over each other. Hope that helps!

I used green on Facebook. I'll have to show you all the longer strands I have all ready cut. I have a few thinner cut ones. Most of mine are thick because I prefer thicker width ribbons for presents (I go through a LOT of ribbon around Christmas...as you might imagine. Along with tape. I'm a tape fiend.)

To tell you the truth I guessed. I thought of a sneaker, and how long the lace actually is in comparison to how long it looks when its laced. My ribbons were more then double the length of my hair, almost triple. I wanted to give myself enough room, and at the end I just wrapped the excess around the end. I didnt even cut it.

What a totally gorgeous hairstyle which goes SO SO well with your lipstick, would go so well with any dress, corset or even vintage swimsuit (if you were planning to chill poolside and NOT swim that is, LOL!) you did this in such a clever way with the needle. Do you hand sew much? If so, did you find this to be a similar sort of activity/rhythm? :)

You know I shoulda mentioned it in the video! When the ribbon was folded in half, it was twice as long as my hair. I wanted room in case I needed extra! So I guess it was roughly, from one end to the other, four times the length of my hair. I think you might need a WHOLE spool of ribbon! :) But I'm sure this will look amazing on such long hair!

I actually HAD two needles, but I'm unsure of how to thread them in a way that they'd stay on the ribbon until the end. Does that make sense? The needle I used had such a big eye, it just slipped right off. Do you have any pointers??
