How to Make a Leather Wallet
In this video we are making the bifold wallet we designed in last week's video. This bifold leather wallet has 4 card slots and holds 8-10 cards, ha sa nice big cash slot that will also hold receipts, and is a fun and simple DIY project for beginners and advanced leatherworkers alike!
In this video we talk you through how to do just about everything to get this leather bifold wallet made. You can DIY this project with a couple square feet of leather and a few hand tools, making a wallet that will no doubt last at least a decade in your (or someone else's) back pocket.
As always, thanks to Weaver Leathercraft for sponsoring this video!
Happy Crafting :)

I have been watching your channel for about 2 years when I took an interest in leather work. The last two videos have been in the best in my opinion. Your narration gives extra quality to a tutorial style video, I think this helps tremendously for a new/beginning crafter. You can only go so far with "monkey see monkey do" it's the thought process that counts. Please keep up the excellent work. Best wishes and respect from Port Elizabeth South Africa

One trick I learned from watching Hans Atelier was when he prepunched the holes for two separate pieces like you did at the end for this wallet, he used sewing needles in the holes to line up the pieces as he laid them down on each other. Seeing that honestly blew my mind the first time lol

I really like how you handled the front/back attachment by punching holes on each before assembly, but do you ever run into issues stitching like this with opposing chisel holes? I've only done this once and struggled a bit. Usually I punch all the way through, but like you said, it's very difficult to keep things aligned with multiple layers.

There is no irritating music or irregular sound levels. I especially enjoyed the level of detail provided and the pace of the instruction. I was impressed by the product as well. It may be the best KZbin video I have seen all year or any year. Thank you for the fine instructional video as well as the viewing pleasure. I look forward to future videos.

Wow. This video should of been titled "Leather Craft - Tips & Tricks from a Master" or something similar... I got into the hobby a few years ago. I usually put in a few hours (almost) every night, I am far from an "expert" but I am able to make some nice things if I invest enough time & effort into a project. With that said, I do constantly struggle with some very "Elementary" aspects of the hobby, such as alignment and proper hole spacing that starts and ends exactly where you would like it to. This video has a ton of excellent tips that can be applied to any project, not just wallets. Great job. Definitely going to be referring back to this a few times... Oh. and yes I prefer the verbal guidance over ASMR style. A+

I've been watching quite a lot of your videos and I love it. Definitely preparing to start a new hobby, it's just a bit hard to get everything I need at the moment with all the lockdowns everywhere. But patience is one of my virtues. I can wait for a bit. However, there is one thing i noticed in your videos, well, at least in this one. When you try to line up two pieces that you've already punched your holes in. Why don't you insert a couple of needles or toothpicks or whatever fits in the punch holes? Just put them on all corners and the holes on both pieces should line up perfectly and without to much trouble...

And even with a brand new Exacto blade, STROP THAT THING, it'll cut that much more cleanly and easier, with less effort. Most knives in Leatherwood need stopping way more than sharpening, esp swivel knives if you tool your leather....a piece of veg-tan w/some Rouge, it polishes the edge.
