The Landsraad being manipulated by the Reverend Mothers was absolutely chef's kiss. This to me is what true manipulation is, not forcing others to do what you want. Rather make them think they want to do what you want them to do. So cool to watch on screen.

people can say that this adaptation isn't worth it or it's mid but the show-runners are absolutely tickling my itch of lore & mystery. honestly, this scavenger hunt for Desmond's proper Identity has been terrific and i can see that mystery being a major pull in the climax of this story, darn good stuff sir!!! can't believe we got the mention of Titans, Mentats, Ixians & Bene Tleilax Facedancer all in a single ep. We can definitely rule out thinking machines, facedancer or a ghola as Desmond's true identity after various revelations in this ep which has me even more excited

it's to soothe Valya but most likely, Valya ordered her to do so that she could justify her killing the Baron and reiterate to herself that her & Griffin's path of revenge was the right way

The fastest, easiest, and most direct way to introduce Face Dancers into the story: Taking the form of a long-dead character we’ve met, in private with Valya. It also tells the audience the Sisterhood has their own Face Dancer.

@CortexVideos Episode 4 was one of the best tie-them-all crafted narrative I've seen incl the movie adaptations. In one episode it tagged characters from Frank Herbert's books, that I read over 40 years ago, to his son Brian Herbert's books current storyline. Basically, my take is: Leto Atreides is the terror from the future time, and mind, traveling 10k years before to get back at the Spice Girls Sisterhood. His physical vessel to do this could be none other than a cloned version of the first Atreides who is now possessed by his descendant Leto Atreides from the future. Brillian concept, if they can spice up to fold space and travel, then why not use spice to fold time itself and go 10k years into the past? Brilliant episode.

I thought that the Bene Tleilax were known as the Tlulax during this time period and had not developed Ghola technology, nor face dancers, until much later? I may of course be wrong and it would be interesting to see what everyone else thinks.

My theory: A Butlerian Jihad-era AI somehow got swallowed by a sand worm and survived. That same sand worm later swallowed the mysterious Atreides soldier. While in the sand worm, the soldier’s body is somehow invaded by the AI, which now infests him like a parasite. It is now influencing his mind and behavior, as well as using forbidden tech to fry various key individuals.

Does Desmond Heart own another set of clothes? maybe we can observe a change within the first season….😅 it is a little disapointing to watch how so much strong actors and pictures are not related to a convincing main story, loosing in side stages. It is also funny to see so many channels explainng what people have aleready seen, because the story does not tell..

To be fair, I’ve yet to hear anyone on KZbin pronounce Evgeny correctly, considering most of them don’t speak or live in Russia.😆 As for the pronunciation of Dune, it’s just his dialect combined the use of the liquid U sound, which most UK-educated (and classically-trained actors- [speaking from personal experience] so as not to sound 21st Century) pronounce words like “news,” “Duke,” “pursue,” with the liquid u sound: “Nyouz” instead of “nooz,” “Dyouk” instead of “Dook,” and “pursyou” instead of “persoo.”

@@iamthesayyadina I don’t live in Russia either, but I have ears. They clearly say “Evgheny” on the show. But thanks for the explanation regarding the incorrect pronunciation of “Dune”. (It’s still annoying though.)

@@BogdanHonciuc There's a Russian figure skater named Evgenia Medvedeva. The boadcasters pronounce her name as Yevgenia which is the female version of Evgeny -pronounced Yevgeny. IDK how they were pronouncing it on the show because I watch with subtitles, so I knew the name because of how it was spelled. As far as the British, they pronounce certain words with 'U' in them with a 'Y" in front of the 'U'. You'll notice this if you consume any British television or movies...indeed if you watch any of the Harry Potter movies.
