If that pinion seal is the same part# as a 12 bolt, the Ratech is the ONLY seal that will work without putting something under the seal lip. It's part #RAT-6109 from Summit. I have the same issue when i build 12 bolts and i found this seal. Nice diff, it's a shame you can't get those gears anymore.

Which series carrier and ring pinion used ? Thanks.

I don't remember the carrier series but the gear is the 12 bolt THNIN series that the edges have been modified, to fit the clearanced 10 bolt case, the pinion is a 12 bolt but the shaft has been cut down so it sits deeper in the case, all custom modified ring and pinion that is no longer in production, If you go to the corvette forums there is a guy that bought a lot of Tom's innovatory and has a few items left, I did a 9" conversion for my C3 and said it would be cheaper to do the 9" here is my 9" install kzbin.info/www/bejne/fWW3fWmaZtp1bZI
