These videos have been so much help. Brought home a 69 last weekend in very similar condition. Sat in a garage for 24 years without a start. Just starting to get into it but thanks for the great and very informative series!

Hi. Great video. I´m a guy from Sweden and I own two Corvettes. 1999 C5 and 1978 C3 L82. I'm doing 2,5" true dual Magnaflow on the C3. It' s a little bit different around the crossmember with my TH 350 with other hangers, but the donuts mounting and the other will help me a lot .Thanks

Great video as usual Tom! One thing, do not weld the exhaust tips! You should have exhaust clamps there just like the ones you used for the middle section

Hey, yes thanks that’s actually what I ended up doing.

Did those cross member bolts really come out with hand tools? Classic Corvettes are actually simple to work on. That's what makes them so much fun!
@ProblemSolverGarage2 жыл бұрын
Yes they are very simple to work on

Oh no, someone brought up the trailer hitch again. You don't notice it until "BAM" there's a trailer hitch, on a Corvette?

I love your videos!! They have been VERY helpful to me for my '77 Corvette. I have a question unrelated to this video. I notice that you put the car up on rims instead of jack stands and I don't ever remember you speaking about how/why you do that. I'm not trolling asking this but I guess that's safe? I don't really like jack stands and that seems like a good way to support the car and keep the weight on the wheels/suspension without worrying about the car falling on you if a jack stand fails. Do you use any particular type/size/weight limit?
@ProblemSolverGarage2 жыл бұрын
I just make sure that the rims are a deep dish type of rim so the car can’t roll off, mainly I do that for safety I don’t trust jack stands alone

@@ProblemSolverGarage You and I are of the same mind about jack stands :-D and thanks for the quick reply!

Band clamps to hold the exhaust together? Desperate measures for desperate times. Has the car had Oklahoma or New Jersey plates at one time?

Good job Tom, is that a trailer hitch?????
@ProblemSolverGarage2 жыл бұрын
Somebody welded that on I think maybe they were trying to reinforce some thing. I just left it alone for now

Can’t see it once the spare time is on

@@ProblemSolverGarage It's not a problem, actually I did see a lot of people put trailer hitch on Corvettes i the 70's I wouldn't take it off unless I have to.
