This build is near to my heart. A buddy of my back in highschool had one that was sky blue, I had a caprice classic, mine was a 78 his was a 76. We used talk about racing them once we fixed them up, but he passed away before we got them done. Its nice to see this one come around for a second time. All of your builds are awesome and I personally love the "budget" aspect + your personality is just awesome. Humble and kind , thank you sir for all the infotainment over the years.

"Budget"?.....hardly!
@ryurc3033 Жыл бұрын
@@stevenbaker9327 compared to widebody frs builds, k swapped Ferrari builds, blower big block firebird build, twin turbo, lenco trans builds, AWD turbo Honda builds.....most of these have a transmission worth more than this car. Just because it wasn't built for 20$ doesn't mean it's no comparatively "budget friendly"
@johnhpalmer6098 Жыл бұрын
@@ryurc3033 I would agree, in comparison to many, it's a budget build as he often uses what he already has, and what he does buy are necessary for stock car/drag car/burnout competitions and be street legal for events like Sick week, plus the parts needed to get the engine going properly and I bet the most expensive thing is the fuel injection unit itself, which is no cheapie or stock unit and I bet it is more reasonably priced than some other units. I like that his builds are also low key, but look great and are quite potent for what they are. But yeah, not as budget as some may think, but way more than others we often see. In fact, that LS Corvette he bought oh, over a year ago, wrecked, and using that for the Monte Carlo and if that isn't considered in the budget category, I don't know what is.

It’s all there but I’m having to learn about modern automotive wiring/sensors/computer management systems. Dereck makes it look easy, which is what I need to see how the big pieces go together. I’ve looked at a few trucks that other guys have done, I’m sure I wouldn’t buy them Becuase the chances that they got all the wires soldered, connected properly are slim. Good luck with your project.

Hello Vice Grip, next time you need tap a hole try using an electric 3/8” impact , the hammering of the impact helps break the metal loose while cutting threads. Having the tap in a rotating tool allows you to keep the tap centered and eliminates or reduces the chances of breaking the tap because the twisting or misalignment is reduced.

Holy smokes. You are a hit. My first car ...17 years old. Banker Ken Davis lent me $1200.00 first one year. My first loan got me a 1973 Landau Monte Carlo. From what I see this one appears to be that same year. I took the smog pump off and plugged off the EGR , scrapped the ' Rottenchester' and added a Holly. Was a great first car. What you created was a dream car and I enjoy your uncanny ability greatly.
