So, fun tidbit: I used to work for Handheld Games. My next door neighbor in middle/high school was the CEO. It operated out of a small office building in Lynnwood, Washington. Handheld mostly focused on children's games for the Gameboy, DS, and plug n play systems. The "biggest" game you could say they ever did was actually Portal Runner for the Gameboy. So here I am, a 14-year-old who does pixel art as a hobby, and who starts to share that hobby with my neighbor's daughter, who's a couple years younger than me. He eventually saw it, and liked my pixel art, and I got to work for the company for a couple summers, mostly assisting with pallet-swaps and cleaning up 3-D models for these DS games. It was such a fun place and even though we had to make budget titles and were largely restricted by the larger companies we worked under, the people who worked there were definitely super cool and loved games. Unfortunately, the CEO's wife (and co-CEO) gambled all their money away and Handheld went under around 2008-9, I think. I still talk to the former CEO regularly, and he still develops games and software on his own. So yeah, never thought I'd see a review of a game I worked on lol. I barely touched any of the models for Corey In Da House, but I did playtest it a bit. That Power Rangers Super Legends game is kind of legit, though! And my name is actually in the credits! Lol
