Oh this is HAAAARRRD to listen to. I’m in the middle of this-my 3 little girls are not so little anymore and already one left a couple years ago and got married. She now has a baby. My middle daughter just turned 18 a couple weeks ago. My heart hurts so bad that sometimes I lay in bed early in the morning when everyone is asleep and just sob. I miss when they played dolls, skipped and giggled. I miss my home filled with the voices of my little girls. I want those days back so bad. I keep having to lean into the Lord during this season. It’s so painful for this mamas heart.

My son is 43. He & his wife through GOD have given me 5 grands and this puts me in crying mode every time! 1 grown 1 in his Senior year of High school, 2 almost in middle school the last one is 5. I'm trying to hold on to these precious moments. That time goes by so fast. I treasure & thank GOD for those years ❤

Lyric Hospital home was a four minute drive The baby on board made it 35 We didn't sleep a wink that night Just laid by that crib singing nursery rhymes These are the days that we'll want back The kindergarten drop off line His first day of school, didn't even cry And that was when we knew that life It had a funny way of just passing us by These are the days that we'll want back So tell 'em bedtime stories, give 'em a kiss good night Darlin', before we know it, this old house will be quiet I know we're tired right now, someday we'll laugh about it Let's slow it down and raise a glass 'Cause these are the days that we'll want back It took us a day to build that bike Felt like we only got a minute to watch him ride Juggling dinner, school, and practice times Just trying to make it through to that glass of cheap wine And these are the days that we'll want back We'll want back So tell 'em bedtime stories, give 'em a kiss good night Darlin', before we know it, this old house will be quiet I know we're tired right now, someday we'll laugh about it Let's slow it down and raise a glass 'Cause these are the days that we'll want back And all of the countless, crazy, sleepless nights All of the first and the last and the tears that we cried All of the "How does this work, dad?" and "Mom, tell me why" Sometimes growing up feels like goodbye There was a time when we were your world And now you're moving on to marry your girl So buy her a house and call it home And give her a life and some kids of her own Tell 'em bedtime stories, give 'em a kiss good night 'Cause before you know it, that old house will be quiet I know you're wild right now, some day we'll laugh about it Let's raise a glass and toast to that 'Cause we'll always be your mom and dad And these are the days that we'll want back We'll want 'em back, we'll want 'em back
