Wise to return the white dress. I Like the dressier black much better.. I am in Italy frequently and can say don't forget you are going to the land of endless shops stocking linen and cotton. I loved the black shirt dress on you, I think it’s edgy and different with the two pocket options-obviously too thick for summer but I would keep it. I agree with you on the white, not so much on the shape, but the color of the white (yes not all whites look the same 😂) made you look washed out, not a flattering white. Agree on the T-shirt. The black formal dress definitely minimises and looks great. Some great choices. Exciting!

Swede here: happy you appreciate Scandinavian aesthetics ❤ white doesn’t agree with me but I love their oversized cuts so I just dye them! Just throw it in the washing machine and done ✅ as the white dress is cotton there should ne no problem at all. Is it ok in the US to wear black at a wedding? In Europe it’s a big no-no. Great haul and you’re the only American “influencer” I would steal the wardrobe from🤪 (those tan Prada sandals!!!!)

I have the same issue with a large bust Michele. I am 5’0” with a 36DDD😮. So I absolutely cannot wear oversized pieces without looking like I’m wearing a tent. Tailored pieces work best for me but that’s not my style jam anymore. So I end up wearing yoga pants with a semi-fitted tee shirt😂. But I love the summer season when I can wear a flowy sundress which seems to work for me. That said I love your style. I just wish it was flattering on me. 😂

You’re so lucky you look good in black. We had this family expression, when wearing black I looked like “death warmed over”. It can be such a chic color, and is so widely available in everything, but I just have the wrong coloring to wear unrelieved black near my face. I’m pasty white and have those dark, genetic undereye circles.

I was not familiar with Cos, so I am interested in checking it out. I agree with you on not showing too much of what I prefer to restrict to the boudoir -- I think this is just good, old fashioned modesty and these days, it speaks of elegance and sophistication. I do like that fluid dress with the slit, on you. I also liked the other one that you plan to return. These will be nice all spring and summer.

Michele, you have to wear clothes that you’re comfortable in, but sometimes I think some of your clothes engulf you. I would love to see you in something more tailored some time. But as I said, you do you. 😊

I have a naturally larger bust, too, and one style I never buy is any tops or dresses with those gathers above or below the bust, some even have both, yikes. They give that horrible, low-class “buxom barmaid” stereotype look. A larger bust gets too much unwanted make attention as it is, the last thing I want is any “bursting out” look. I also don’t show any cleavage, I never have and I’m 63. (Even at age 11-12, I disliked the way men treated me, staring at my bust. They started asking me on dates even at that age, I referred them to my Dad, who immediately showed them the door with their ears ringing). The only exception would be just a a shadow of a hint of it in an evening dress. Because I’m both short in height and very short-waisted, almost everything is too low-cut for me. I often put darts in the back neckline to raise it in front, if possible, or wear a modesty pin, if not, but neither solution is ideal. Sometimes putting a few stitches in at the lowest spot can also help. I’m always looking for shirts and dresses with bust darts, they make a huge difference in fit. Flat-front styles just don’t work well over a woman’s curves.
