The chemist was kind enough to do a free video on how a professional formula spreadsheet looks like. The mathematic formula he used is very simple for excel spreadsheets. If you aren't trained in basic Excel spreadsheet you can always do the computation manually.

@@mdml0 No he didn't, that's far from professional and not what the video was about. The statement reads "This video explains HOW to CREATE a spreadsheet for putting together a cosmetic formula" first mistake was the title of this video "CREATING a FORMULATION spreadsheet" He already CREATED it, so how? secondly, No formula for the formulation. Just numbers that magically (SEE WHAT HAPPENED THERE) changed... don't blink you'll miss it.. No one said he wasn't kind, just that the video was not exactly forth coming with information. Also, using or creating formulas is not Basic Excel.

You can start with the book Beginning Cosmetic Chemistry. Also, Harry's Cosmeticology is good.

The cost formula is wrong in the right most column. The grams column needs to be converted to LBs before the cost /LB formula will work!!!

No, the grams does not come into play for the cost calculation. Only the % in the formula matters. When you multiply % by cost per pound you get cost.

This is useless without the Excel formulas (the equations) that program the cells.
