I also made natural paint for eggs like this way. Out of onion covers, shredded beetroot. With ethanol colors definately better than without it. But beet does not paints eggs into purple. I got brownish color with it.
@cecilvig2 жыл бұрын
Wow , how interesting. Here in Switzerland, we use onion covers with normal tap water to paint Easter Eggs. I did not know that ethanol can be used for this purpose as well. Thank you for this input. Always a pleasure to read from you 😍

Thank you for asking, I am fine, I hope you are too. The turmeric extract I made for cosmetic formulation was made with glycerine and I used fresh turmeric. Peel the turmeric, wash it, cut into small pieces, blend with hot distilled water and put the paste in a glass jar. The paste (turmeric and distilled water should be 30 grams), add 70 grams of vegetable glycerine 99.80% and keep it away from direct sunlight for three weeks. Shake at least once a day. After 3 weeks, you can filter your extract and make sure that there are no turmeric particles in the extract. This is more or less how I prepare my turmeric extract. I have never tried it with alcohol.. Abundant Blessings to you as well dear🙏🏾🤩 ❤️

Ethanol, also called ethyl alcohol or grain alcohol, is a clear, colourless liquid and the principle ingredient in alcoholic beverages like beer, wine or brandy.

Is it better to use distilled water to extract, rather than normal water. And do I need to add any preservatives during the infusion stage?And what does passing ethanol to extract do? Can I go without adding ethanol?
@cecilvig2 жыл бұрын
Yes distilled water is better because it is pure. It does not need any preservative because ethanol works here as a preservative. If you want to leave out ethanol, you should try out this recipe with pure vegetable glycerine: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKWVkJiIn9mGlck

Full name of ethanol???and can we use this extracts in both water and oil formulations na???like in serums we make two times water based serum and oil based serum..

How do you know when to use a glycerine based extract and when to use a alcohol based extract?
@cecilvig2 жыл бұрын
When preparing cosmetic fro people with dry skin, glycerine extract is better and when it is for people with oily skin, alcohol extract is better.

@@cecilvig than, I was worried about ethanol extract for face product
@cecilvig2 жыл бұрын
@@Maria-rw2ss I mentioned that this extract with ethanol is recommended for people with oily skin. You only add between 1 to 8 grams in a 100 grams formulation. I reckon you can use a small percentage of 2 to 3 grams, if you are worried.
