@TheColor17 - There aren't many solid foundations but you can make a lipstick type base and use foundation colors. Instead of beeswax, you can use Carnauba wax, Candelilla wax, or microcrystalline wax.

@TheColor17 Hello. Yes, you should be able to just add the pigment to the lotion (although it does depend on the specific formula). To make a stick formula, you typically melt it to a liquid, mix the color, then cool it to form a solid.

hi perry - i hope this question isn't too small for you, but i am developing (with a lab) a formula that will be used to saturate wipes for taking off cosmetic make up. the price that i have been quoted for this very small batch (i only need 228 kilos) is approx 5,000 for the creation of the formula, and then approx 16 dollars per kilo of formula. this comes out to approx 8,000 which i thought was high, but of course, i have no perspective. i'd love to know your thoughts!

Thanks Perry...I've learned a lot on the chemist corner.I always feel safe there.Was wondeing if you could direct me on making a Stick Foundation (makeup) & also a liquid form. I have my supplies mineral pigment & powders including, the oxides, & lakes & know the regulations of using such. I am told a liquid foundation you just add pigment to the lotion,-is this true? but I'm stuck on the stick type, you know the type you "roll up" in a tube I don't know how to arrive at the creme consistency th

Thanks again Perry....just one small factor-what do U suggest I use to form a solid for the stick foundation besides beeswax, I've looked everywhere for a basic formula but can't figure out the stick version of a makeup (foundation).The others, such as a liquid aren't as complex to formulate but the solid version because it goes in a tube, seems a litttle more challenging! Appreciate any help...Patricia
