Just want to say what Kermit has done to preserve (& share) aviation history is unparalleled. No person has every done more. His hands on for this adventure was really fun watch! Look forward going on a 'Cosmic Muffin' run in the future 😚. Best wishes to him and all at FOF!

Yeah, I get the whole "what was I thinking" vibe, but the spirit of Howard Hughes will not be denied. You did the right thing. Rick Rocks, and so does his truck!

Happy to see Rick relax once he understood Kermit's vibes. He was definitely a bit overwhelmed the first day! The trailer guy probably tosses all kinds of crazy jobs on guys like Rick without giving them any information.
@jafo93469 ай бұрын
That fellow Rick did a fine job. After watching this 3 part series in its entirety, I agree with you Mr. Weeks -- screw the trailer guy. You did a phenomenal job getting the Cosmic Muffin back to Fantasy Of Flight. Thanks for taking the time to share this incredible experience with us.

A trailer company maybe but a large item moving company not so much ! No escorts in front or back with lights and signs and high reach poles ! Florida is not the west coast but out here you would have been pulled over by every Cop for 50 miles around ! Great to see it delivered and safe !

Thank you Kermit for the laughs after a long day...... your commentary is terrific comedic relief. I hope you keep that Rick guy's number and recommend him to anyone who may need him. Hard to find decent people so willing to 'work' with/for you. Can't wait to see what gets done with the "Muffin." It is a truly unique item.

Hi Kermit. Top dog job and here in the UK there you wouldn’t be able to drive on the roads with a load like that without full flashing beacons and without a escort vehicle also with flashing beacons all over it. And your load full marked out.. just watching you keep calm and collected and patience of a saint.. I enjoy every one of your videos.. please never stop being you. Have a good one Pete

If you want things to be done correctly, you have to do them yourself. Good you decided to be there to oversee the transport - imagine Rick to be there just on his own … No way doing business with this Trailer company again. Anyway thanks for saving the Cosmic Muffin. What you did for saving unique Aviation Artifacts is far beyond anything anybody else has done. Thank you for posting the Videos! 👍

Since it's going to be used for Gatherings and groups out on the lake I'm sure you're going to have a quiet generator to run lights and air conditioning it would be quite easy to just add a couple electric motors and propellers and routers and make an electric boat certainly take up a lot less space and weight than Outboards or I/O's You could even use those little asapods that have a propeller and a housing around the propeller that rotates and that will give you propulsion and steering all in one package.

Where I am all unmarked infrastructure is assumed to be at least 16ft off the road surface(which is why 16' has become a golden number in the trucking world). You are actually considered not at fault if you hit unmarked infrastructure and are under 16ft tall.
