Good insightful video I had purchased the fit flights and thought they were terrible. I wouldn't mind paying the price if it was worth it. Both times I broke my shaft/stem off in the barrel after darts fell on the floor. Me personally L-shafts is the was to go I've had mine (same set up) for two years now still holding up well!!

I've been using these for a year now. I used to get through about 5 standard stems a day. Not with these! I'm still on my original 3 stems a year on. they are solid. Flights wear exceptionally well too. I would never change now. Clear stems and flights look class.

Hi Darren, I’m just having my relaxation fix watching your cosmo flight system. Relaxing listening to you talk about them and the sound of plastic boxes being opened 😊. A ten year ago review, wow . I’ve had some in the past but sent for another set of stems and two different shape flights to try, a good 35 minute review or there about i wonder if that arm compression sleeve would help your arm problem, I’m having pain in my throwing arm too and considering trying the compression sleeve 🤔 nearly 77 so to be expected I guess, it has settled down though in times gone by so hoping again. I often go over your earlier reviews so thank you , happy 🎯 green is your favourite colour if I remember correctly, you will have to remind us 😊😊😊👏

LOL yeah thats an old review now, I wonder if I should market it as a sleeping aid lol! The compression sleeve can help a little but mostly with tired muscles, I dont think it does a whole lot to inflamed tendons or aching bones :) GREEN is the colour! :)

Ah yes it could be tendons with me because a physio review said to really press in and massage across them not down and for sure you do feel it .

Hi Darren, your cosmo flight and stems reviews keep going up, I’m a regular for that review as I’ve said before very relaxing. I’ve just ordered some more w shape flights and no2 size slim stems I find they work well with my Mervyn king four thumb grip smooth barrels. Never thought I would like them but after trying them they are my no1 dart now but you know how that can change😊 . Hope dart companies realise how much sales you help them with. We both have our pain, mine neck and throwing shoulder but happy darting when we can . 🎯🎯🎯

I have an experience that a stem broken near flight side and found there is no way to remove the broken stem inside the flight, so I need to bring the spare stems and flights for safe. After that I've turned back to handy and cheap traditional stems and flights.

Stems are very strong so should last well, flights is an unkown quantity as it depends on what dart you use as much as anything. With Soft Tip they should last very well but if the barrels are aggressive grip it can damage them. If you use spinning shafts the flights will last longer.

I will give this flight system a go. with so many flight shapes and sizes, it would be great if the manufacturer can provide some information on their flight characteristics. the spinning flights looks interesting. I think it needs a certain minimum velocity to get it going (i have a weak throw) i like the way they rotate during contact. Thank you for narrowing down my choice and the detail review. Cheers!

Thanks George. The idea of the spinning flights is really so the flight moves out the way when it makes contact with the darts in the board, it is not meant as a way to add extra propulsion to the dart in flight so it does not need to spin through the air :)

Great review, as usual. I use this system with the regular speed flights. The flights usually last my a 16 week season. The shafts on the other hand not so much. Don't be fooled with the carbon shafts, they don't last much longer and they're twice as much. Still really like the products.

No moving parts, its just the shape of the top which allows the flights to spin

a question pls. flight on spinning shaft: if u shake the shaft quickly, then u feel or hear any backlash?? coz i hate any "space feedback" of most spinning shaft systems. ???

its not as loose as some but if you shake it a lot you will still detect it. In normal throwing I dont notice it but it can get looser with use, its easy to stop it spinning though, just out some cling film on the top of the stem.

I have a very urgent and important question: I'm in the process of deciding which Cosmo Flights are best for me. Can the air flights be marked with Condor Zero Stress and the normal ones with Condor Axe be compared? I definitely don't want flights that sound/feel like Zero Stress. Which are the better choices?

Not quite sure what you are asking but the Condor Axe are not the same as the Cosmo flights it's a different material probably stiffer and the Zero Stress are softer and more springy, I like Axe best

Does the flight stay in the stem or if you group your darts do they sometimes pop out ? Can it get to the point where it’s often they keep popping out and how quickly do they get worn out ?

They stay put but I guess if there is a lot of force its possible they could pop off, never happened to me though. The wear can be a bit of pot luck though, some I have had a tear on in first hour and others have lasted weeks.

@@canarysam9983 Its down to what the player wants really, long or short points depending how it fits in with their grip or how they like the balance to be and also some like long points so they can group darts closer. Knurled etc is down to if the player wants grip for their finger or they want points that stick in the boards more.

Great reviews as always! Quick one, I'm in a market of getting the Titanium version of fit flight shaft, should I get the spin or lock version? I'm currently using the L-Style Carbon Silent Spin, they are great at first, but after a week of using, 1 of the shaft spin freely and the other 2 works as it should (spin with some resistance). I don't know about cosmo's because L-style is 2 pcs of construction while cosmo's is one pcs. That's why my L-style spin freely at the join.

depends on the type, the slim are more flexy because of the thiness but normal ones seem just the same as any other colour to me

Out of interest what's your set up , flights , stems ? You tried alot of different systems , do you prefer any to the normal standard no thrills flight? I always seem to go back to standard flights

Well for a long time I would keep going back to normal medium nylon deflectagrip stems with 100 micron standard flights, I still like that set up but I also like the Accurate dart AFS system but now I am using the Condor medium standard mostly and they seem to work well for me :)

Thanks! I think its a lot about what suits the individual the most, the Clics are very good but my darts often get stuck in the small window so I would say the Cosmos.

Do these help for robin hoods as for normal stems this is a massive problem for me as they break all the time. I'm also a bit confused on the measurements, so what is the equivalent of a small stem in a size number of cosmo? Thanks

Yes they do help against robin hooding. The small stem is the size number 2 if I remember rightly :)

i m using cosmo fit shaft size 3 spinning and flight for few months.. not to mention the expensive cost using this system. But the shaft was too easy to break (I am playing average 14 hrs a week).. the shaft cant last longer than 1 month. Compare to nylon shaft (Harrow dimplex) I has been using it more than a year and its still working fine until now... IMO they should make more durable shaft with that cost.. or we have no choice but have to buy their carbon, duralumin or titanium shaft (value for money? or value for quality?) >.< Anyway I m still loving this system.

Its a nice system but durability is like a lucky dip, sometimes it can break on first go and sometimes it can last for weeks and weeks, I have had some nylon stems last months and months and some break in first few throws too though. I think if it was cheaper though it would be better. Have you tried the Harrows Clic?

Yes.. i agree with that.. I had few sets Fit flights left from lucky draw & competition.. so i m still stick to fit system.. just the fit shaft durability irritated me a lil bit.. will try other system like L style.. and also the new clic system.. i m starting to like spinning shaft.. and from the classic aluminium or nylon hybrid system i cant find anything as good as fit spinning.. lot of frens recommend L style spinning too

Do you still use the spinning shaft ? Its the shaft that different right ? Any of the flights will spin as long as its on the spinning shaft right ? Does the spinning of the flight help keep the dart stable ?

I dont use the spinning flighs, I use Condor Axe a lot now. Lots of people hate spinning flights though. Any flight will spin on the spinning stems. I dont think it makes the darts more stable but as with many things in darts its about what suits the individual :)

Wife and I bought sets this past Saturday. the #3 polycarbonate straight shafts lasted 4 days. They cost $10 American and should CERTAINLY come 4 to a bag at the very least. If their titanium shafts cost half of what they charge I might possibly reconsider Fit Flights but that's the only option that I can see this system NOT becoming a money pit with every day use. Thumbs WAY down... shame really because the flights are brilliant.

Yeah that is the only problem some times they can last weeks and other times they can break in the first few throws, I often hear people saying they have used the same set for months its a great system but you have to cost to wear ratio and they are not as cheap as they once were so its tough to justify it now.

No idea, best to ask them. Maybe its just the most common and they get lots for free. Maybe they have never tried anything else. Peter Wright has used Condor Axe and Winmau Stealth, Barney has used Target 8 flights, some pros have used and do use Cosmo set up, maybe not all the ones you see on TV though.
