ooh such an iconic Freddie Mercury outfit! I know a guy who did that for halloween a couple years ago, and it wasn't perfect in any way but it's just cool to see people going for it.

That sounds really difficult. My sewing skills are in quilting, not dressmaking (in the sense of "sewing clothing of all sorts", not just dresses - it's an unfortunately gendered term), so I can't give you any specific suggestions, but I know that in theory it's possible to sew clothing in a way that makes alterations easier later. You could see if there's a dressmaking or sewing meetup in your area and go along and see if anyone can give you advice - in my experience people who do crafts are always happy to share their knowledge.

I feel like because I have a small frame that I am able to present slightly more neutral because I am small so I don't usually have to bind. I generally use a sports bra and have actually never did bind but exercising does help because chest work outs reduce the volume of that area and I got 15 years in fitness now.
