I loved this entire clip which my grandson told me about because I taught him about the Phantom from a very early age knowing he would never have the joy of Phantom comics as I did. On the back of the comics, for two shillings, you could get a Phantom ring. There were twoi styles: one had luminous eyes and one had ruby eyes. At school I charged kids sixpence to go into the toilet (the only dark place) and see the eyes light up. All your comments refer to the movie but for those interested you can buy the television series in black and white, which was on weekly. But for me it was all about the comics, hidden from my mother, but treasured by me. So glad my hero is being recognised once more. The one thing he had in common with Superman was that he wore his underwear, blue and black diagonal stripes, on the outside. I am 80 years old but the Phantom lives and never dies.
