Cossacks 2 battle for europe is as fun although a bit different in gameplay. I still complete the campaign in it time to time. If you havent tried it, I recommend it.

Nice gameplay. Couple of questions: Why didnt you make also the cheaper stone mining upgrade? Those small market exchanges really help? Why didnt you just placed the first storehouse at the right place? 😃

getting the cheaper stone upgrade isn't needed. I just wanted to get the 300% efficiency as fast as possible. ( getting the cheaper stone upgrade after you get the expensive one reduces the stone efficiency, it doesnt increase it. common mistake) i placed the first storehouse like that because i wanted to build the market fast. If im slow to build the market the opponent can get better market rates for the first trade. The small exchanges are crucial as it increases the price of the resource you want. Example if i trade 200k stone to gold without first trading gold to stone i will get maybe 18k gold back. But if i first trade 1000 gold 8-15 times i can get close to 50k gold for 200k stone :) hope that helps

Back to stone mining, I thought for 20yrs that its like with another percetage upgrades, that they are multipling together. Luckily i was doing that upgrade in order that did not harm the minig at least. What do you think about upgrading the mines? Is it worth it? Or trading in the market pays off more?

@@mato911 It really depends on the option you are playing for 0pt its worth it to upgrade your gold mines for sure. If you are playing 20pt like in this video. I think its better to just use all your peasants on stone. When i played vs people i even emptied my coal mines early just to have that extra peasants working stone. as for general tips. Build the market fast and get 300% stone upgrade as fast as possible. if you are playing vs humans like a 2v2, drags are better because they are cheaper to upgrade than hussars. Make sure you place your storehouses right under stone not just ''near'' it. the difference is huge in stone effeciency if you place them correctly. In general manere is up the prises for example when you need gold the normal way you give stone to get gold right :) But the better you must first exchange gold to stone ( in this move you make the prise of stone is higher for gold ) then you turn the sides ( i mean directly you exchange stone for gold with big number ) you press shift + the bigest prise on marcket wich is 100000 if i remember You will get a great deal For that you must focus on stone production , and do the right upgrades for that

Nice, you killed them even faster than in vs 5. About the winning requirements, to my surprise it seems that destroying the mines isn't required. The requirement seems to be that the enemy has no peasants (not counting those inside the mines), town halls and "armies" such as wandering grenadier formations, or merc cossacks near diplomatic centers. Not sure if war ships count or no. If you're planning to play more, maybe try 1000? I'm struggling to win 1000 with 20 pt even with wall, and if i choose 30 pt and progress to the same point as you do in 5000 20 pt, then the enemies have much larger armies at that point, making rush tactics seem impossible, and then the only way to win for me is walls + artillery + hussar raids to take out a few opponents to lower the pressure. Also, do you think any "vs 6" is possible anyhow as Algeria w/o walls and artillery? I barely managed it even with those. All of their infantry is cannon fodder against late game european armies, and their stables are ridiculously expensive, 4th or 5th one capping at 13 million stone, i was actually selling gold for stone to build them. And speaking about sea, i won by camping behind walls until maxing out 2 mines of each type, then mass producing 18 century ships (which AI fortunately doesn't use). It's only possible because most nations don't build mortars on water maps and aren't eager to bring galleys to your base. And it takes more than 3 hours still. Is there a better and faster way?

The winning requirements you could be correct as i dont have much experience vs AI's, in a human game destroying mines is required for victory so i wasnt sure. Im happy to try a 1000 20pt game. As for any nation vs 6, well in the video i was netherlands which is a ''none power'' nation. So its actually harder than say ukraine or prussia or even england, as they are power nations. I would say its possible to win with any nation including Algeria but its more a question of how hard do you want to make it for yourself? as i do in my games i dont create artillery or use walls etc just to make it more fun But im pretty confident you can win with any 1 nation vs any 6 even if the AI's all were prussia and i was france for example. Water maps i rarely ever played it was never my speciality in human vs human the winner was determined by who owned the sea. Pretty much whoever could take control of the sea won the game. But vs AI's with their stupidity have you tried transport ships full of grenadiers? Also you should pretty much take control of the sea dont bother yourself with trying to defeat any of the AI's until you have positioned your ships in such a way that the AI simply cant make docks anymore. I dnt know the specific map you are playing but thats what i would do.

@@jazzy782008 If england is a power one, how is france generic? I thought their 18c shooters are almost equal (maybe england's slightly better). Netherlands' 17c musketeers are very good at least, their rate of fire isn't just faster than european standard musketeer's, it's probably fastest shooter ever if upgraded, even faster than merc dragoon. I vote for Portugal as the most generic nation ever, they don't have a single unique unit, only a unique building (port functioning like a tower). As Algeria, if you stick with banning mercs, i really don't see any way to win as them, remember you'll likely only have 3 stables by the time pt ends, and the barracks are useless against all the artillery and shooters the enemy has. If mercs are allowed, maybe 2k dragoons would make it possible, but it would need a ton of iron/coal too, not just gold. As for their own "dragoon", it's merely a competitive 17c dragoon, nothing more, you'll need mamelukes much more. It's no use trying to stop the AI from building ports, it'll just keep building them. The best that can be done is placing your ships near them, so that whatever is built is instantly destroyed. I played on an "islands" 4x map (middle option for size), i think there's no way point in even trying to fight until you can afford 3 18c ships of the line and 100 18c frigates (that's what i did), and all the frigates do get destroyed eventually. The wave of enemy ships is endless, and so massive that eventually they get stuck, which gives you time to prepare a land attack. I'd rather do musketeers+artillery (including mortars; galleys are too heavy on gold) than grenadiers, because that leads to less casualties, so you can move the same army from island to island. But now i'm not sure if it's actually faster than sending new grenadiers army from the main base every time, even though the transport is so slow. I really don't see myself winning this as Ukraine/Turkey/Alregia ever, lol (no 18c ships and extra transport capacity). I heard from pros that Yachts can be good if you place a huge order at the default price (like 2k units at once), but i really don't think that would last in a long game against 6 AIs.

P.S. talking about water type "human" games, do you know any videos? I was able to find only 1 but it was with resources set to "millions", impressive but i really wanted to see how pros would progress with normal resources in a water based game.

@@re6nhah England is a power nation not because of shot power but because highlanders rate of fire is insane, france vs england would be a joke at a pro level. Ukraine has the fastest rate of fire in the game they pretty much have ak-47's lol. Portugal is even worse than what you mentioned their storehouses are so damm expensive haha. I shall kill 6 AI with Algeria soon :P When i say control the sea and stop them from building ports i precisely meant to do what u said make their docks get instantly destroyed by your camping ships :) erm a pro told you to build yachts? Sorry but i strongly advice against that waste of resources and time in my opinion in sea wars there were very few pro's because at a pro level these settings make for a 4 hour game lol and i for one didnt have the stamina or the patience

great video - we play this game still on a pc bought purely to play this, our strategy is often mortars to take out the towers then send in the merc ` gunmen on horses, our opponents normally have hundreds more peasants to pick off - parking these horseman beneath the towers out of shot works well too - on hard multi enemy we find luring them to fight each other works well & picking up the pieces when they`ve hammered each other........questions - why do you have so many chuchmen ? - do you know the pause button which gives you time to set commands while game stopped (or is that cheating :) ) ................also im still clicking the mouse like 10 times to order 10 grenadiers - do you know what keys i press for multiples of soldiers etc ?

I have many churchman just because why not? they heal and also count as more cannon fodder. I do not remember the pause button im afraid but i would consider cheating. If you hold shift when you click your grenadiers, it will order 5 in 1 click. You can also use ctrl click to order infinite. But becareful of doing that on diplomatic units as the gold will keep rising.

@@jazzy782008 your game seems to differ a little from ours as i notice at 27.55 just 6 grenadiers take out a tower real quick, & at the opening you have all the opposing nations on 7 - so all against you without them fighting each other - if so we`d never win that - best weve done is 1 x normal 2 x hard / no alliances & even then, it was only by luring the 2 stronger nations to fight each other - we run BTW PC/Windows 10.........of course all of this could be we are not very good at it :) - edit - we have camels too - pretty lame but look cool

6 grenadiers can destroy any building very quickly if they are fully upgraded in the 18th barracks. ( and must not be mercenary grenadiers) beating the AI in this game is mostly about economy the actual army tactics are fairly simple as the AI isnt very smart. I did try to make the game harder for myself by not allowing walls/artillery but even then its rather easy. some advice would be to not even make diplomatic units as they are mostly a waste of population space :)@@minicmotorways

Even if i did want to collect food its still valuable seconds that could mean 2nd in market vs opponents. (2nd in market means i get less wood/food from the initial trade.

You chose Netherlands. The AI of Netherlands does play not very well. I don't think you can beat 6 random very hard AIs. Some countries like Turkey, Ukraine or Britain will overrun your land in three mins after peace time.

I have beat random civs before 6vs1 in some cases it becomes easier not harder, those 3 nations you chose turkey,britain,ukraine. They are easier because they cant build a big enough army and upgrade them at peace time. England needs much more iron 18k if i remember just to reach 18th century and if they go for highlanders they simply wont have enough in time my musks will just walk through them easily. if it was a human vs human game ukraine would destroy every civ but the AI are just not good enough. With ukraine for example i can defeat them without any shooters just hussars. because they simply cant force my hussars off their shooters so they are trapped and cant shoot. Turkey same thing in a 20 min peace time game its almost not a power nation anymore.

@@dustinvo6097 getting max upgrades is why i build less of an army than possible. make sure you prioritize upgrades within your build. if making 1 less 18th barrack means you can get full upgrades you should do that. as for commanding army i would need to know what exactly your tendencies are when you control them what do u think your mistakes are? i cant see in order to help you :)
