I honestly have never heard of anyone getting electrocuted ever. In the other hand, gas leaks and explosions I have heard of....

I have one here in Mexico. So far so good, fingers crossed. I always wear rubber flip-flops while in the shower. I'm not sure if that will help me from potentially getting a shock or not. 🤔

Experienced that coming to Costa Rica from France. That system can’t be even imagined one single second in 🇫🇷🇪🇺🙅♂️. As you say I was first scared to death to have a shower there! 😮 no Pura vida then 😉

By the way, ur shower has to be in cold mode if u are not taking the shower, and if u want hot water it Is advised to wait for a minute and then switch it to the hot water mode

2:00 BRO, that's not properly grounded, please call an electrician that actually knows what he's doing and not some nicaraguan that says he knows how to do everything but doesn't know anything. I have a "suicide shower" too, but it's properly grounded and it has never shocked, not even a little, not even if I touch the water right from the shower head.

you just hung a metal shelf on the power cables, but if you get electrocuted you will say that is because the shower is dangerous

You literally can't die electrocuted from one of these, easier to die on a house fire since these houses has so thin wires that would heat too and catch fire. The "suicide showers" uses between 5-8 kWh 😅

Sounds like your shower needs to be installed by a professional. Ive used these growing up in Panama and never had an issue other than having to replace them every 6 months or so

The electric shower was invented by a Brazilian, is widely used throughout Brazil and accidents are very rare.

No deaths have been reported do to properly installed suicide showers to my knowledge. I myself use a Brazilian made 110v suicide shower in my off grid home in California, my shower is grounded to both a fixed ground and battery negative. The positive line from the battery goes directly to the shower. The battery is charged via solar panel. I also have a fuse in-between the shower head and the battery (which most south american users do not do). Incases of electric shockband even death. People were using a 220v ungrounded or not properly grounded. I've heard of cases of electric shock (mild) via 110v yet again it's do to improper installation. Heat shrink wrap should be used for exposed wires with a silicon overcoat to eliminate any chance of moisture getting into the wire connection. The shower should be positioned 2ft above your head (minimal, mine is 4ft) (best measured using tallest person in house). The reason for it is a safety precaution, for when the water drops, if a current still flows through, it will die out before reaching your person. They are safe to use when properly installed and can be dangerous when not grounded properly. Those who advertise "suicide showers" and why people shouldn't use them are energy companies who wish to push people away from corporation energy dependence. Much like the energy companies claiming solar energy is bad for the environment (because they give off VOC's (no more than the paints in your house do)) yet tell people to go solar and connect it to the grid so they can sell the energy that you produce while still charging you for energy you use. When properly installed

I would untape that from the pipe! Much better to just tape the wires up by themselves and let them stick up then to be taped to the metal pipe.
@ericglazer95224 жыл бұрын
That seems dangerous! Do you ever feel any shocks from the water itself or just when you accidentally touch the showerhead?
@fitzrica3454 жыл бұрын
No fortunately not from the water, just from touching the showerhead. Courtney saw sparks coming out of the wires the other day too!
