Government can't pay more than it's paying to dismantle local debt because it's collections of taxes from mines is not enough and it will never be enough if our shareholding is not increased from 20% to 49% as it's with Mopani. This is the way to go so that Gov't makes more money even before we touch on taxes.

Yes, on that one my minister increasing floor price of maize from K3.6 to K5.6 was encouraging and this has to be hiked next year because the price of fertilizer and maize seed increases from between K850 to K1160 and 450 to K700 respectively

Firstly, do we all understand what founder of famous pf meant by more money in peoples pocket, did he mean going to que up and get handouts freely?? Did we understand what he meant by low taxes, did it mean in 2012 after he won to reduce taxes, did he do? What he meant was for you and me to work hard produce more and then sell and make money, when you produce in mass, then food will be enough and prices go down on its own, low taxes, Understand upnd said they will fix the economy, do you think it was 2021 August or so produce more from mines from agriculture from everywhere, sell make more money and to have prices reduced by same day in 2021, is that what ba pf thought??, this is were the misinformation and mismatch is, failure to understand what running an economy means or is it due to handouts pf made lazy people follow Some ones mines are private hands, did you see what pf did to kcm and mopani , gave it to a relative who within a month looted $30mn, 40mn?? Government don't do business, they create enbitnoment and collect taxes that pf said to be low in 2001. So coastal should have asked what did you mean fixing the economy, was it to cut prices today or to build it?? Ho2 do you build the economy or how do you build a house guys,, what are we saying or want?? Zambia had no mines to sell and bring money, nothing,, what we see upnd do now is to build what was damaged the economy, give it next 5years, people and some churches will be speechless
