Eggs always slow down in the winter. If you provide them with a warmer environment, like a cold frame, then they'll provide you with endless eggs again.

My gran always said that if you give the warmest place and right food chickens will give you eggs but they do have dry spells in winter . Gran also gave her chickens red pepper flakes to help them out . - I hope this helps - also for your dinner question we had chili and cornbread at our house the sweet potatoes and back beans sound interesting and delicious I might try it I am dairy free myself so I have to find great deals at Whole Foods too

If you have an Aldi they have the spinach littles in the Aldi brand. They also have broccoli and sweet potatoes. I can't remember if they have gluten. We tried them before we went gluten free. Aldi's brand livegfree is really good too. I stock up when we are near an Aldi.

Hey just a tip I got from a friend who also used to have problems with her chickens not laying eggs. If you are feeding your chickens Purina brand it would be a good idea to stop feeding them that. As soon as my friend switched her feed her chickens have been laying eggs :)

My husband went shopping for me and bought pre shredded cheese. He thought that’s what we used. I said no, i get the block and shred it myself. I told him they use something to make the cheese not stick and it doesn’t taste good or melt like it should. He went to use it and said “you’re right. That cheese is different”. Idk why he was shocked I was right. 😂

Wow, I can't believe the price of your peppers. I can get a packet of 3 mixed (Red, Yellow & Green) for £1.50 in England or you can get a bag of one colour with maybe 5/6 in them for the same price, just all one colour. Sweet Potato fries also, if I was to buy 3x bags to make it the size of your big bag it would cost me around £4.50 .. Organic Carrots & Celery around £2 Per Bag, I'm shocked, I really am. 😮 Xx

I grow my own peppers and then cut them into strips ,throw them in my reusable freezer bags and freeze them for the winter months. They hold up well, and taste pretty much the same, unlike some vegetables. Grow sweet potatoes too. Buying a chest freezer was probably one of the best investments we made. Not only because we can freeze our vegetables, but when other things are on sale we can stock up and save. Canning is also a moneysaver.

@jenniferwolford464611 ай бұрын
Oh my gosh!! Peppers are NOT that expensive here. 😮 As a matter of fact, all produce and most products have returned to a more normal price. Definitely not the price of 15 years ago or anything. That's nothing new though. I still get bananas for $.65 a pound, etc. I think these corporations are figuring out we'll grow it ourselves if we have to. Its not easy to grow enough for a large family though, thats more than a 2 person job, i think! I grow, lots!

If my son had to be gluten free he would be screwed because he has a small peanut allergy- other food allergies are Apples, peaches, hazel nut, sesame seeds, Almonds.
@peachy_reina11 ай бұрын
If I may ask, what are his reactions? I'm allergic to soy and almonds, have a wheat sensitivity, and since I was little I thought I was allergic to fresh fruits and vegetables. Now I know that I'm allergic to the pollens that attach themselves to the produce, but washing them doesn't help. I have to cook all of my produce which led me to discover that I may be lacking in enzymes which help to break down the fibrous produce. I have the worst pain trying to digest fresh fruits and veggies...I have tried taking digestive enzymes which really helps take the edge off. Still, fermented veggies, boiled, sautéed, steamed, and roasted is the way to go for me. Also can't have much dairy 😅
