I have Epilepsy Seizures, Acid Reflux, Stomach Ulcer, and High Blood Pressure. One thing I did previously was try out the Ketogenic Diet (strictly for those with Epilepsy Seizures and this isn't the same as the Keto Diet), but I was pretty much faithful with it. I was on this for a total of four years and this didn't work for me. I read in a health book to stay away from gluten products, because of my pre-existing medical condition. However, I noticed that I have four out of the ten symptoms that you mentioned about the gluten intolerance. Also, I recently got diagnosed with an Inflamed Liver and am seeing a nutritionist my primary doctor referred me to about it. Most likely I am guessing that this was from my prescription medications and supplements that I used to take previously. I will ask my doctor to test me to find out if I am allergic to gluten or any other products. I love your information and hope to eventually find out.

@garycooney6370

If you think you’re having a problem with gluten intolerance, this is probably worth the read. I was tested for food allergy’s about 30 years ago because of the severe reactions I was having right after eating almost every meal. Results of the test: I tested positive level 1 for apples, corn and pork. This was all on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the most severe. Now here’s the bad actor…for wheat, I tested at 5+. As I recall, back then gluten was not listed in the list of product ingredients, but wheat sure was. So simple, right? Just don’t eat anything that listed wheat as an ingredient. But, back then, gluten wasn’t a “thing”, so finding food products with wheat alternatives was next to impossible. And, if you did find one, they tasted absolutely god-awful. So, I pretty much suffered with the nasty symptoms (which I will get to later) for the next ten or so years. And Then… enter the gluten-free craze! This was absolutely awesome! So now, things much different. My wife is extremely mindful of the listed ingredients of everything she buys, ensuring there are no wheat products indicated. And, I have also become an obsessive label reader. Whenever I have a snack craving when I’m by myself, I thoroughly read the labels. But, make no mistake, this obsessive compulsive behaviors did not happen instantaneously. It took me years to become totally compliant. Things like McDonald’s French fries are off my list now. Not only because of the chance of cross-contamination, but McDonald’s saw fit to add a wheat ingredient to the fry oil just to make the fries taste just that much better (better verify this yourself, all things on the internet aren’t necessarily true). Things are markedly better now. No more bloated belly right after eating. BTW, we also discovered that, unlike what the allergist told us, I couldn’t just limit the amount of wheat I ingested, I had to eliminate I entirely. Just the smallest amount and symptoms could last a week or so. And now to those nasty symptoms… Of course the worst was the bloated belly.. it was like a swallowed a basketball. There was also bad breath, sore joints, brain fog and probably a couple more I have forgotten. Oh yes…the stinky horrible farts. You know the kind, just the tiniest amount of gas, and everyone on that entire level of the house would go running. [lactose intolerance could have also contributed]. I’m so lucky my wife didn’t leave me. AND then there’s the pooping. This was absolutely the worst. Constant diarrhea, and the odor was horrible, kind of like the farts. Okay, this is the hardest to talk about…. Sticky poop. First everything’s sticks to the bowl so there is extensive cleanup after. And it also sticks to your butt. The best way to describe it is it’s like trying to clean peanut butter off a shag carpet. There was a major investment in toilet paper in our household. And my final word, if you choose to go truly gluten free, there is no half way attempt. It needs to be 100 percent or you’re just wasting your time. Just as a summary comment, after following a strict gluten-free diet for the past 15 or so years, I am for the most part, symptom-free.

@@KJ-nv9uz Yes, mcDonalds is sneaky with their ingredients. I pretty much avoid them altogether. If I’m eating a quick lunch out, I tend to stick with Five-Guys or Firehouse Subs. As far as I can tell, the only thing that goes into the Five-Guys fryers are the french fries. So for me, they have been safe to eat.

@@harlenedelantar5111 Unless I make a mistake, I stay off all gluten containing products. However, that being said, I was diagnosed with my wheat allergy more than 30-years ago but back then the word “gluten” wasn’t in our vocabulary. I was also tested for Celiac Disease, but tested negative. It might be that I could just avoid wheat, but include gluten. That would make life way too complicated. I just avoid anything with wheat in the ingredients. So, what do I eat? Their are many types of gluten free breads - Udis and many others. If you live in or near a city, gluten free stuff is pretty easy to find, however I have found the closer I get to rural America the more difficult it gets. If you have any doubts whether or not you have an allergy, I would encourage you to get thee to a allergist and get tested. Then you will know for sure. Some of the things I can eat……Gluten free bread, chick pea flower, pancakes made with buck wheat flour, spaghetti made from rice (many other types), Costco has gluten free frozen pizza that’s not bad, crusts mad with cauliflower I fine to be the tastiest. But,be warned, everything with gluten free on the label is more expensive. And, tends to be higher in calories. Then sometimes add extra sweetener to make up for the lack of taste. Hope this helps.

Important to be aware that even if tested negative for celiac/coeliac you may still have coeliac. The blood test is a farce and gives more false negatives than doctors are aware. It only tests for one strand of peptide reaction (there are a couple of hundred) and not everyone produces the antibodies for positive test result even if they have coeliac. If you have all the symptoms but a negative blood test it is important for your doctor to test for the antibody deficiency and still refer for biopsy. The blood test alone is a poor diagnosis, and many go years being told they do not have coeliac on the basis of that blood test to find out later down the line via different testing protocol that they do have coeliac.

For almost 40 years I didn't know what a "normal" digestion felt like. Whom I said I was constipated or had loose stools or gasor bloating, doctors said : it's normal, we all have get this or that some times. So little me didn't know that "every other day" was not what then meant by sometimes. I left gluten and dairy and wow... 2 years later in still mind blown. And I realized I do have a waistline after all! I can't believe all those extra sizes were from bloating and not fatness. And don't get me started listing all other symptoms that have dissipated with I GF diet! too many to type. but the most important is the mental health ones. Living life without crippling depression is... I have no words.

Anxiety...may come from inflammation, which can affect the way thyroid hormones are converted at the cell level. In the presence of inflammation, T4 gets co verted to reverse T3 which tells the cells to make less energy. 🤔 I think that can cause anxiety because the body uses the metabolic mechanism that gets turned on when someone is anxious...so it can have the energy it needs. 🤔 Anxiety burns out the adrenals. Chronic inflammation can over work and burn out adrenals as well. So I am guessing the anxiety kicking in adrenals for the body to have energy is what happens. Addressing all food allergies is a good idea, but so is addressing gut yeast because it can bore holes in the gut and let in food particles only partially digested. This is why diets so important for some ppl vs others..because some ppl with certain genes can replace the gut lining faster than others. If you are a slow gut lining replacer, so to speak, you can be prone to food allergies, allergies, anxiety, adrenal burnout, chronic fatigue, fibro, immune dysfunction, etc. A lower sugar diet with more beans intead of fruit, juices, pop, cookies, sweets, potatoes, rice, etc is a good idea. 👍

I had migraines, muscle & joint aches, brain fog with memory & sleep problems, horrible rashes and irritable bowel. A friend who was gluten intolerant kept telling, me to eliminate gluten but I said I couldn’t because that was too hard. It is very difficult to eliminate gluten but very well worth it to be well. You will learn about what foods make you sick & you can learn to avoid them. I am still learning to not allow foods that are bad for me to control me. Give it a try. It might be the answer to your health problems too. Good luck!

Hey, I found out just over a year ago that I am gluten-intolerant. Took a while. I am Italian-Canadian. I used to be Bipolar. I am not taking any meds anymore. I went gluten-free and I am not Bipolar anymore. But it’s obvious now that the root cause of my gluten-intolerance is related to Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Please if you have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome or suspect that you do, please ask a professional about taking collagen supplements. EDS affects the connective tissue obviously. And yes this causes joint pain, too

You can't actually 'test' for intolerances in a medical sense. The body produces antibodies for allergic reactions that can be tested for/measured for, but not for intolerances. The only way to determine intolerance is the 'elimination diet' - cut out the suspected offending food and then reintroduce and determine any intolerance. If you are referring to the actual coeliac test, that is not test for intolerance but a test for an autoimmunce disease (coeliac). I've left a comment above on that.

@Sam Ulzzan it's a blood test and it includes different allergenes (gluten, dust mites, lactose, egg white, nuts, etc) . Allergies and intolerances are different things, as mentioned above, and I'm very confused about this whole affair. Seems like a good topic for a video )))

I got very itchy blisters on my elbows, knees, front and back hairline, and ears. They started to erupt the beginning of Summer when I was in the garden, and went in cycles. When the blisters began to subside, a new round would appear. This went from late Spring to early September. I got bloodwork and a biopsy which showed it was worse than Contact Dermatitis like my PCP said, it was Dermatitis Herpetiformis, caused by a Gluten Sensitivity and Hashimoto’s disease, an autoimmune disorder For four weeks I went cold-turkey off all Gluten. The blisters went away. Recently, I got a salad on which had Gluten bread croutons. I picked them off, but there were tiny crumbs left behind. I now have blisters around my hairline. Food for thought.

OMG!! Thank you for the video. You pretty much described my whole adult life! Wow that is spot on. I tested for celiac disease about 15 years ago but several months before my test, I finally figured out after years of trying different diets that gluten was the reason for my symptoms so when I was tested I wasn't currently eating gluten so although my results were borderline, I wasn't about to go back to eating gluten so I have considered myself gluten intolerant since then. But brain fog and anxiety were some of the symptoms that they didn't attribute to gluten intolerance at the time and said it had nothing to do with it so they thought I was crazy! So thank you for your great video!

I thought it had to do with my acid reflux. After going through various tests with my GI for acid reflux I thought about gluten. I also have experienced allergies and migraines for a while now…I got tested for many allergens and gluten came back negative. I also experienced low energy and didn’t want to do anything…2 months ago I decided to cut gluten out of my diet due to the suggestion from my sister and a friend and I have not had any more pain. I highly recommend anybody going through these symptoms to give it a try and cut gluten out of your diet and see if it makes a difference because it has sure made a difference in my life!

When you tell someone you can't eat gluten they have no idea how awful this disease is. After I had my thyroid gland taken out I went from 91 lbs to 123 in a few months. Now I am back down to 93 lbs because I can't eat a lot of foods. Plus all the different auto immune diseases are attacking each other. I am totally miserable. As much trouble as the colonoscopies/endoscopies are to schedule, prepare for, and have done I wish they would take more than 3 samples. Even most GI specialists don't seem to be aware how in un-uniform intestinal damage can be. I have known people who have pushed for 2nd and 3rd endoscopies and had negative results initially that were not caught until the 3rd scope. Why? Because the intestines are very very long and autoimmune damage from CD or other IBDs is not uniform and doesn't cover the entire intestinal tract. It is spotty and random. Yet most GI doctors that I have spoken to seem to believe that if 1 random spot in the small intestine isn't damaged that everything is all good.

0:17 I am 75 yrs. Never went to a doctor until 5 years ago. Never used medications. Over years realized some foods were not digestible. Attributed migraines to back ache and only used a chiropractor. Being overly well, I never thought it possible to have histamine, gluten, carbohydrate resistance. 5 years ago, tired and slept more. No other symptoms. My son took me to a doctor. I was shocked to hear I had serious thyroid deficiency and high blood pressure, starting treatment. My first serious problems showed up just before the pandemic. Eating a banana, I just collapsed. Tests showed nothing. For 3 weeks I just drank Ensure. Then the pandemic struck. Another round of weeks contracting the virus. Since then, my doctor advised less starch, etc. I tolerated less and less foods. At this stage, eating very low fatty foods, "healthy" fruits, vegetables, rye bread. Constantly constipated, eating just to swallow an anti acid to get the irritation out of my system. Always an oesophagus remedy. The last few weeks I had a very bad odor urine smell, no other complaints. While getting my thyroid and blood pressure medication, I asked for a urine test. It was vaginal syphilis bacteria. Immediately taken of my antidepressant Purata, according to drs, the culprit. It made a big difference to my brainfog. But while wating for my turn to see the dr, I desperately searched on internet why, eating less, I still felt unhealthy, serious heartburn, headaches, constipation, bloating, memory loss, sleeplessness, tired as soon as I ate certain foods. 6 months ago, I became more desperate. To eat, inmediate oesophagus, etc was affecting me psychologically. I turned to Carnivore, but not really believing I need to actually evaluate vegetables and fruits, carbohydrates, diary too. Within the first week my heartburn and esophagus, which was usually so bad I could not breathe, evaporated. I don't even buy antacids now. In any case, HISTAMINE INTOLLERANCE, FODMAP, IBS, popped onto my screen. It is eye opening. Since the pandemic illness, for 5 years now I constantly had a runny itchy nose (wetnose), sneezed which made me cough. I attributed this to post virus symptoms. Frustrating. And nothing helps. To read that there is an order to the disorder!!! I read as much I could in a few days. Nobody tells us about enzymes, only electrolytes. Off the antidepressant, this first week was a nightmare not sleeping at all during the night. This was my first priority. I bought Magnesium Glycenate. I slept !! Every food I try I look at the FODMAP and IBS levels. I temporarily eat the meat, egg, vegetable separate to ascertain the symptoms. No fruit now. I keep a diary. Switching drastically from eating less and less to more. We are all searching for solutions to just feel well. This is not about eating and eating. We can only eat till satisfied. Financially nobody can. With carnivore as the main dish, I add. So far I control the bloating, other symptoms. If I am sneezing less, as well as runny nose, I believe this is what went wrong with me. I feel good. I appreciate this article and will also listen to the gluten, carbohydrates, insulin ones, affiliating foods. We learn and adjust all the time. If I still do not improve I will see to the DAO too. This is a journey

I get itchy inside my ears after eating bread and grains. I’ve been on carnivore for 3 weeks and haven’t had any more itching and way less joint pain.

#8 was me my jr year of high school, I had a 3 week long light sensitivity headache… major allergy tests showed I had a reaction to gluten along with 75% of the things they tested me for. Now my intolerance shows up in a visible way as “inflammation” and it can be seen in my neck and jaw line.

Isn't nausea and stomach pain also a symptom? Because I get that when I eat bread or anything with gluten. Also the fatigue and brain fog.

One thing I noticed when I cut out both gluten and processed sugar is that my feet stopped hurting and my joint stiffness was reduced.

In your ear? My left ear has been super clogged for months. Doctors keep saying my ear is fine. Have noticed it is no longer clogged after quitting some foods.

For years, I had the symptoms and brushed them off as something else. I was scared of cutting it out of my diet, but once I cut it out, I felt much better
