Hi from New Zealand 🇳🇿, we have 5 kids, when they were younger we would grill our hotdogs and split them and put the mashed potatoes and toppings and make like a hotdogs split. The kiddos looooved it!!

Gotta love the snacks on a road trip. Having coeliac disease makes it hard. We also have other needs, not just gluten-free but low FODMAP, low sugar and lactose-free. Totally understand the food situation.

Yep! I’m gluten free, low fodmap, and dairy free. Also eggs need to be limited or I get sick. So I feel ya!!

We’re do you shop for your gluten free food? I have a daughter that seems to be gluten intolerant and I’m struggling to find options for her. Thanks!
@TheGalwayfan2 жыл бұрын
Get her tested before making her gluten free. Gf replacement foods aren't as healthy as wheat based products. It's full of fat and sugar. I would never make a child gf without a firm diagnosis of celiac.

Thanks for sharing 64 years old and a week ago diagnosed with celiac disease after my colonoscopy ikr he’s the one that found it and said I’ve had it for a long time 😳 was my reaction then an allergist same week said the same, needless to say it is going to be tough because I am on a ckd3 diet, cardiac diet now this, sadly. So I have been scrolling you tube for recipes and channels to subscribe to so thanks 🙏

I can feel you. I heard say celiac usually develop in childhood but I also got my diagnosis last year (27). It was hard to suddenly change my diet but I am trying my best. I hope it’s going well for you.

The site Find Gluten Free By Me will tell you celiac safe places to eat. Maybe you will find something 100% GF on your way or where you’re going By the way NYC has a number of GF restaurants I had my first bagel in years There were people sitting next to us who didn’t know they were eating in a 100% GF restaurant

@@TheGalwayfan but the ones at Modern Bakery and Tonic and Thyme are so good. More like a NY bagel vs a lenders type bagel. When we go in December I’m bringing home more to freeze
