This video was too short. Kidding. Good information. I appreciate it. I’ll definitely take advantage when I buy my next vehicle.

I can't shield my eyes from Buzz's videos! Probably good advice on the COSTCO front, I don't know. I have only ever bought new vehicles from dealerships when there's been blood in the streets. I don't haggle, but make an offer and that's it. Works when you've got a full day to sit there while the salesmen run back and forth to management. $80,000 pick up trucks, DJIA 40,000 and $400k-plus median house prices are going to end in tears for all involved. Be patient, people!

We are now buying classic cars instead of new cars. Way more reliable and pennies to repair. Classic cars used to be more expensive, but now they are cheaper than new by FAR. Its nice that we no longer need to pay a shop to fix the cars. We can do it ourselves and save thousands per year. Looking for a classic C3 Corvette right now.

Do you have an executive membership? You get a once a year rebate of 2% of your purchases. I have it pay for itself annually by just buying my normal goods. We use there brand credit card as well, getting another 2% back annually as well. We never carry a balance, so for us it's the best rebate for our grocery shopping dollars spent 😊.

Haggling is such a pain. We bought our last three cars from Hertz used car sales. They were year old with 20-30K mileage so they were still under warranty. When it's time for our 2017 Camry to move on to the next owner in 5 years or so I will own an electric car if car ownership is still a thing.

Buzz - a month ago we purchased a new to us used car. We used Carfax app. Would 1,000% recommend. We replaced our 2011 Nissan Rogue with a 2023 Nissan Rogue, 9,500 miles and a clean history for slightly over $20k. Couldn't be happier. Sticker price (they gave us the original tag) - $38k! Also paid ca$h. You can see the car price history in the Carfax app, and in this case they had been reducing the price $500 every two weeks so we were able to haggle a bit lower due to how they've been consistently reducing the price like clockwork. Anyways, nobody calling us. Don't have to give info to anyone. We did USAA car buying service once and they were relentless with the phone calls.

Does the Costco price include all dealer fees like doc fees? In Ohio, those are limited to $250, but they aren’t controlled in most states and most dealers add those at the end of the negotiation process.
@BuzzRetirementGarage3 ай бұрын
I think I mentioned in this short version video that tax and fees would be extra. That would include warranties or any other extras. None are included in the price. Thanks for watching! Buzz

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Advice: Some states (Ohio, for one) have state laws that mandate that dealerships collect a Buyer’s social security number, even though the Buyer may be paying for the vehicle in cash. Most states don’t have this requirement: However, dealerships are required to comply with anti money laundering regulations and will need to run an OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) report for prospective buyers. This happens behind the scenes and a it’s important for buyers to know that while the OFAC report requires the buyer’s full name, it doesn’t require the social security number. But some seasoned F&I Managers may state that it does so that they have the information they need to begin to pull a credit bureau and begin to strategically developing a sales strategy based upon the credit reporting information. It’s better to be fully informed and prepared when contemplating a vehicle purchase transaction. 💯🎯

@@BuzzRetirementGarageThat is their current plan but I don’t think that is going to happen. I am on track to pay my off my building in two years and four months. I was holding back about $40k in my checking account to be ready but now decided to not to do that. I will most likely write another $20k check to the bank at the end of July. I need to keep about $20k in reserve for unexpected expenses. They seem to hit me at the $10k level. I am amazed that you seem to avoid these hits because they are killers. This money is spent on repairs and medical issues, totally not discretionary.

@@leisure057blank3 Say you're looking for a Toyota Camry. Fill out the information on the Costco website, they will get you the name of a participating dealer. Go there and the dealer has to give you a price with no negotiation. You can then take that price and shop around and see if someone will do better. There's no commitment to buy.
@leisure057blank33 ай бұрын
@@BuzzRetirementGarage there’s no place to shop around too. I would never shell out for a Camry. It would have to be a Corolla.Well there is another dealer 60 miles away.
