Purchased: August 2022 - still works GREAT! kzbin.infoUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn I live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment.I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!

Thanks for the video but you clearly don't understand how air conditioning works. Nothing wrong with that in itself except you did make some incorrect and potentially misleading statements. 1) As someone else pointed out, they are hoses not valves. 2) Whether a unit uses a single of dual hose design is not a function of it's BTU rating, it's a design consideration. Single hose units pull already cooled air out of the room to cool the condenser. Dual hose systems use outside air which is much more efficient. 3) Extending the hoses that far is not recommended as it makes the unit work much harder 4) As far as I know Costco never sold the wifi-enabled model. Again, appreciate the effort. I'm enjoying mine as well.

I just bought one unit last weekend. It is indeed noise. It keeps display around 82f to 84f no matter what temperature I set up🤣, such as 78f or 68f. I am going to substitute to another one to give it a try.

We had a faulty one that we returned. Takes up alot of space and the thermostat was faulty on ours. It was stuck at 81 degrees. It cooled but, wouldn't shut off. The hose taking the warm air out emits alot of heat also.

Same here a hunk of junk I have the high sense 8000 portable not a thing on it works right leg and that heavy thing in and out in and out I’ve had enough of this game!!! There’s nowhere to find out why it’s not cooling only thing anyone ever shows is how to put it together well it’s simple but no one explains why it’s not cooling or what to check for etc.✅

It is not a valve! It is a hose. Your window kit was not fitted properly and had huge air gaps letting in hot air.

I just purchased an 8000 btu model- it either dains from the bottom valve or higher up is a pump valve - I talked to their service department. She explained that machine temporary turns of air process and indicates message to remove water and then give you the choice to drain it from the bottom or the pump. It comes with the hose so you can drain it into a bucket. From the pump section of course. If you drain from the bottom, I imagine you would have to turn off the machine. But then I don't know It seems these devices sometimes do not come with an operation manual. I haven't opened it yet

Just purchased the eight thousand BTU model newest / most current dB = 51 and maybe 49 on lowest settings. Haven't opened it yet. She told me she hasn't received any bad ratings from it yet. I'm thinking of getting the inverter model uses less electricity so I can use my Iphosphate battery which would would last about 3 hours. With the inverter model maybe 5 hours.

HI, Do you still like this Hisense Portable AC? I'm thinking of picking one up at Costco. When I was in China Pre-covid days I used to see their AC products everywhere. They have a very good reputation.

Yes, I do, the only down side is a bit loud for my 5 year old at night, when he's sleeping, but no issues for adults, I ll take the noise over unable to sleep from the heat any day

Terrible camera work upside down an shit, fumbling words. "first step is uh locating exactly kind of like um the valve🧐where we're gonna put it b/c we need an external window source"???WTF?? Why you calling the ducts and hoses VALVES?? "How cold you want this fan to be..."??? "This thing is blowing quite strong" 7:40 proceeds to put the mic in it and kills all the headphone users. Should put a model # up too. Hi-sense has come out with 3 or 4 other 10k btu A/C's since then. Btw, it comes with a 2yr warranty. Don't see why it would stop working tho unless its a defective unit. - 99% sure this is the Model #AAP70020HR1GD in case anyone wondering
