I went to a Benny Hinn service about 10-15 years ago. They first opened it up with a pastor who did the opening and asked for 10 people to give $1,000! They asked until they got 10 people to give. When Benny Hinn spoke, I don't remember what his sermon was about but at the end he closed it by asking you to give your best gift and that God would do something for you in 7 days and to expect it. I was there simply out of desperation, I needed a healing. I gave all I had in my bank account which wasn't much, maybe about 30 dollars and I gave it. Everyday I counted down waiting for God to do something. When the 7th day came and went, nothing happened. This was an experience I will never forget and definitely learned from. My heart goes out to those that are still following these prosperity gospels and are faithful givers being taken advantage off.

Shel it’s doable you just have to live WITHIN your means. Some of us want “the good life” or “the finer things” and we go outside it. Example I like playing video games at $60 a pop that can be expensive when a new one drops monthly. I’ll wait 6 months or a year in some cases to get some games at $20-$30. Sometimes I’m blessed enough to catch a guy that wants to sell it and I can get said game for $5-$15 if I’m patient enough.

My dad, who had extreme physical disabilities, was taken advantage of by Benny. We traveled to Phoenix for a "healing convention" expecting healing. My dad saw at in his seat, unhealed and crushed. Pop gave so much $ to Bennys ministry too. Benny led my dad into darkness concerning Gods love, hope and mercy in the midst of suffering. Benny promised to deliver instead of offering the deliverer.

You are in no place to judge him he is not under your authority. He is not in your Church body in which you are the head. Apostle or deacon overseas a church body... Typically one they started themselves. I don't think Benny hinn meets that requirement for you to be in a place to judge. And as far as people outside of the church you are an authority and even the apostle Paul himself said he was thankful that people were preaching the gospel even if it was out of wrong intentions. It’s so tough growing up in religious “abuse” of authority, of religion as opposed to genuine belief in Christ and the word of Truth....and it can be so painful, (at least it was for me) to be basically excommunicated for not hiding the secrets and the truth about the masks and secret sin and idolatry and codependency of a family in ministry who are desperate to hold onto their idols at any cost. But we still love them and ask God to open their eyes and unplug their ears....to have mercy upon them and save them out of their darkness and sin. It is so refreshing to hear the hopeful, peaceful soft hearted way you shared and to see you standing strong in the Truth!!! Bless you and bless the Lord for also having mercy on us and delivering us out of the midst of all that. Also, I have felt very conflicted and your father. When I was still a young (in the faith) Christian, I attended Calvary Assembly of God in Winter Park, FL. One afternoon a week Benny Hinn held a "healing service." I did not know at the time that he was dating and later married the daughter of the pastor of Calvary Assembly - Suzanne Harthern. Pastor Harthern later resigned due to moral failure and another staff pastor became the main pastor. During the 1980's Benny Hinn had a church in Orlando, FL; no idea what has happened to it. I praise God that He showed me the error of the prosperity ministry years ago. God bless you, Costi Hinn, for speaking out!!

There was once a time where Jesus told a rich man to sell everything and give it to the poor. If this was Gods goal for men, the Lord would have praised him, instead the Lord wanted this men to loose all security and trust in Him. Introduce him to the heavenly way of being blessed. Matthew 19v21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come andfollow me. The Lord did not promise him more money when he was instructed to give, no, he was told to observe the heavenly treasure that will be given to him. There came a time when the Holy Spirit came on Pentecost day and filled the church, one of the first things we saw was people started collecting offerings, not to go to Peter or John etc(pastors) but it went to the the poor and needy. Never have I read how offering was collected and enriched the apostles or any Christians. Paul did not even want to lay a burden on the converts when he travelled concerning money. 1 Thesassalonians 2v9 For you remember, brothers, our labor and toil: we worked night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, while we proclaimed to you the gospel of God. Offering is not for the pastors, but for the purpose of advancing the kingdom of God. The poor, the widows, the needy, the hungry, the sick, vulnerable souls living in the streets can be saved. The pastor should get a salary, known by the elders of the church and the church itself. 44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common; 45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. Travelling, accommodation, subsistence records in the form of invoices, quotes etc must be kept for preaching the gospel. Never give to receive, give because you love Christ, do not tax the Lord, but allow Him to work in you until He reveal His.desires what is good for you. Your hearts desires must have the first two commandments of the ten commandments first, before all else. You know back in May of 1995 was 5 day conference on the person of the Holy Spirit down in Orlando Florida at Benny Hinn's Church before he started traveling I had no idea what I was in for, I was invited to go by my mother and my aunt they bought me a plane ticket my mother was living in Miami , my Aunt in California and I'm in New York where I grew up. I went to just to appease my mother and be a chaperone. Benny Hinn I never heard of him never seen him in my life I just went accompany my mother and I was in the process making a business deal opportunity to take over a business but I was asked to do something very wrong to hurt someone I would say the Lord stopped me in my tracks as a Divine appointment there's many people that I met from all over the country I never experienced so much love we stayed at a hotel the Lord intervened and I heard the gospel for the first time in my life 5 days I grew up Catholic but not religiously practicing went to Catholic school till the 5th grade I got morning and set free to save in the shower at the hotel room after hearing the word of God we know faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. and holy spirit was quickening the word almost instantly and I was getting so convicted and I was taking a shower of my life flash before me and I was washing myself with soap and water and I said that only wash it the skin but it cannot wash my sin and I asked God and I repent and I will touch more of the testimony but still this day's Now 23 years. Let me to Times Square Church in New York City stood there for 5 years my currently I've been going through much stripping my finances to hit I never reach that Peak of this Prosperity Gospel he has grieved me for so many years the Lord has shown me the richness Christ Living in me remember the day, The Holy Spirit was gently, convicting my Soul, on May 5, 1995. I was in the shower washing myself with soap and water in a hotel, where I was invited for a five-day conference on the person of the Holy Spirit. I question God everyday. As I was hearing the gospel the good news of Jesus Christ by a well-known man of God I wont mention his name. As I was in the shower and questioning God the Holy Spirit just stopped me and convicted me, and showed me my past ways living the normal so-called life. My past flashing before me. I was 27 years old and suddenly, I started to weep and see the things I've done wrong, how I was hurt and others who has hurt me and I asked God forgive me for the things I have done, and I forgive those who also have hurt me. I'm hearing the Holy Spirit say soap and water can only wash your skin but in order to be made whole you need the blood of Jesus to wash your sin. In a loving Voice, your sinful, yet so loving , a moment of divine intervention this was a Divine appointment. I started to weep trembling and confessing The Sins I committed, from my heart sincerely I felt broken so shameful the way I lived. And even more I start to acknowledge how I haven't lived right and sinned against God I've sinned against you, against you have I done wrong, forgive me! forgive me wash me in the blood of your only begotten son Jesus, forgive me you died for me not only that--- you Risen from the grave. I asked God, for the same spirit that raised Christ Jesus from the grave, I desire for your Holy spirit to living me !!! God was working in those 5 days So much detail with in 5days yet to share. And in John chapter 3 Jesus spoke to a religious leader named Nicodemus Jesus said ,you Must be born again in order to enter the kingdom of God Jeremiah 2:22 reads For though you wash yourself with lye And use much soap, The stain of your guilt is [still] before Me [and you are soiled and dirty],” says the Lord God. Leviticus 17:11 King James Version (KJV) 11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. I don't agree with any man of God staying in a hotel suite for $25,000 a night. That is wasteful and too extravagant. But I would never oust my family member by going public, I would go to them and if they don't get it, I would pray for God to reveal to him what he is doing. If God can't do it, no one can. Love covers. The church needs to handle God's business inside-not outside.

Absolutely! It is extremely WRONG theology to say that Jesus was poor and it's unbiblical...what Jesus didn't worry himself with was attaining or amassing WORDLY Assets that by human standards define him as "RICH or WEALTHY". However, he NEVER lacked.

Let's look a bit closer into the life of our Lord brother, may the Lord give you insight in this. 1. He borrowed a donkey before His crucifixion in Jerusalem, this is providence. 2. Did not have a home. This is trusting His Father for His every need.Providence is important in the work of God. 3. Did not buy bread for people, multiplied it according to His Fathers will, this is providence. 4. Instructed His disciples to take one garment and no purse to preach the gospel, again this show providence, not riches. 5. Requested a upper room for the last supper, this was providence, not hired. 6. Jesus instructed the rich man to give away everything and then follow Him, if our Lord was rich and money dependent He would never have instructed this man to become poor and receive the heavenly blessing of heavenly riches laid up in heaven. He wanted to teach this man how His Father can provide for them. 7. The Lord and Peter once caught a fish to extract a coin from it to pay tax. Providence. 8. The Lord was invited always busy doing His Fathers will and warned how difficult it would be for a rich man to enter heaven, thus is the demonic influence that work true Mommon. 9. He died broke and left a testament(will) of God's Word for us, not earthly riches that had to be distributed to His followers. 10. Travelled in a small fishing boat, preached out of in Kaperneum. 11. He was a man of one garment trusting in His Fathers providence. This was His will for His disciples as well preaching the gospel. 12. Judas held the purse, remember money was heavy those days, you would not be able to carry a lot of money in a purse. It was for for giving to the poor as well, this is why Judas said the oil used to anoint the feed of the Lord should be sold and be given to the poor. He worked on the principle of how our Lord's finances was mostly spent, giving to the poor. 13. Judas might have never betrayed the Lord if the money in the purse was more then the 30 silver pieces he received for the betrayal, a thief like Judas would have used the greater, in this case the greater was the 30 silver pieces. He could have just taken it from the purse, my speculation is there was Money In the purse or very little , which was less then the 30 pieces. Never the less Christ had to he crucified. 14. I Never read of how the Lord used mules or horses (TRANSPORTATION) except in Jesrusalem when he entered on a donkey, He walked by foot always. 15.Prosperity is the killer of God's providence. The dependence on how God wants to provide to teach His child to trust. Change your focus brother, bring in souls into the kingdom of God and you will shine in heaven one day like the stars in the firmament. See the book of Daniel. We should allow our Holy God to be Himself in your life, do not force want on Him, many people give with the intention of want instead of need. Let the poor benefit of your giving not the the church coffers all one. Want is focused on prosperity, need is focused on trust and providence. Heavenly riches is what God focusses on as primary. I grew up poor, today things are going well, many of the most spiritual people have just enough and they are happy, it is not about rich and poor, the enough and thankfulness is what God's providence bring, heaven is full of people who died poor and some people who died rich. Seek first the Kingdom, the Lord will meet your need according to His will. I am afraid we might die perusing the hand of God in earthly riches then satisfying the focus of Christ which is souls. What's app and Face book and social media is over preached, GO YE THEREFORE AND MAKE DESCIPLES, NOW THIS IS PROFITS FOR THE HEAVENLY KINGDOM. DO THIS WITH MUCH FRUIT, WITH THE GIFTS TRAILING BEHIND THE FRUIT GOD DESIRES. WHEN A MEETING IS HELD IN A COMPANY, IT IS HELD TO INCREASE PROFITS ULTIMATELY. AFTER THE MEETING EVERYBODY WILL THEN HAVE TO DO THEIR PART IN THEIR JOBS. HOW LONG WILL THE CHRISTIANS GO TO MEETINGS AND KEEP ON PLANNING AND NOT GO OUT AND DO THEIR. WORK. NO SOULS, NO PROFIT IN AN EARTHLY SITUATION WE ALL WOULD HAVE BEEN FIRED LONG TIME AGO. GOD IS GOING TO ASK YOU, WHAT WAS PLANNED DURING THOSE MEETINGS. YOU DECIDE CHILD OF GOD.
