He was my dear friend and my mentor. His insight was amazing and he had a wickedly funny sense of humor. He was also humble and down to earth. I remember seeing an Emmy of his holding open his pantry door in his West Hollywood place. He just said "oh, it's just a prize". I miss him always.

I find myself admiring quite a lot about this gifted creature of a man. His work, humilty, bravery, sensibility, unassuming nature, and his understated, yet brilliantly crafty way of telling a story. He makes it very clear, right away, that he is very good at what he sets out to do.

A dear, wise, vigorous, and brilliantly talented man. His taste and elegance were unfailing. What a long, productive and fantastic life he led. He is missed.
