Steve and Sara, that was magical to follow and in the church with that music was so emotional ! seeing you alight from the Gondolier brought back such a memory ! Many years ago my mother Freda did that trip, all the way from Barnard Castle in County Durham in 1970’s was quite the highlight of the town, most people had never even heard of Venice ! true ! But poor Freda as she alighted she lost her balance and ended up in her waist in the water ! To which her friend said ! Freda what the hell are you doing in the water ! Freda replied ! I always alight a Gondolier in the same manner ! It’s a family tradition ! That was a lie I may add ! She never B took and family member with her ! Enjoy Josie x

Loved the exciting time you shared. Been to venice four times, never took a gondola journey. Love the "bus" transportation, quicker to what I wanted to visit. Also, one of our towns, Stillwater, Minnesota has a gondola on the St. Croix river. Love looking at them. Thank you.

Absolutely lovely! This summer a friend and her boyfriend who live in Venice took us all around the canals for an entire day. So many amazing places which are away from the Grand Canal. One which stays in my mind was a library which you entered from a small canal. Amazing!!!! Love seeing all of you dressed to the 9's and look stunning!!!!!

Morning Steve & Sara, you must be having the time of your lives!! What a place Venice is!! The costumes were amazing, have you read up on the past History of the Carnival, it was some show! Well it was wonderful to see the Basilica inside the murals and all the other statues and wonderful Artifex. Can you imagine living in those times. Just remember, the rich dominated everything. The venue you stayed at was very lovely. My goodness no where else in the world would you find that. To be able to travel really broadens the mind, it is educational. Thank you for sharing Looking forward to some more photos or videos covering more of Venice. One can truly exclaim, Mama Mia.
