Jeti - Cortex Pro with single receiver, serial connection

Thank you for this video, the problem is that you powered the servos with the "ext" connector. I could be wrong but I think it would be better to power the cortex pro through one of sockets 1 to 6

You are right. With the newer REX series of receivers it is not a problem because the Ext socket is on the same power bus as the servo sockets. With the older R series there is a question about how much power the Ext socket can provide, so an additional lead from a receiver servo socket to a Cortex socket is a good thing to do.

Hello Harry, as usual Great Info! A question concerning Cortex or actually gyro's in general . . . have you ever heard/experienced "resonance problems, caused by acoustic interference"?. . . . I see that some are using foam housings, "hush boxes". . . Appriciate your experience and insights. Kind regards, Rick (NL)

Modern model aircraft gyros use MEMS gyros and they can be interfered with by high frequency noise from turbine intakes. I got it with a Weatronic gyro and nearly lost a big jet model. It either affects a model engine combination every time the engine is at certain rpm, or it doesn't affect that model engine combination. You cannot predict in advance of testing for it if your model will get it or not. The different brands of model gyros differ in how many suffer from it, some brands get it very very rarely, some brands get it more often but it is still the minority of jet models. Sometimes a sound deadening hood can solve it, it needs to be a material that blocks the frequencies involved, some random bit of foam is unlikely to work.

Hello Harry This is Andres from Lima Peru and I am new on Jeti (very happy by the way) I use Powerbox pioneer and Cockpit in my jets and want to have control on them from my DS24 (gyro settings and all what could be configured on them remotelly) I am using REX receivers Do you have a video about it? Its possible? Regards
