The stove is, a delight my favourite colour... You have got it spot on✨💕 the three colours I use that work✨ are a, creamy yellow/ duckegg / and raspberry so your wall behind the, stove would look great with raspberry... I'm an artist🎨 and to balance paintings this combo works,,🎨🎉 so interiors work too..the styles you pick could be a mish mash of those colours to tye it all together 🎨. I love hearing you laugh at everything makes me chuckle too...❤️🙏❤️

I love your colour choices Colette. I’ve only found your channel about 3 months ago and have been watching lots of your older videos and it seems you enjoy changing things up. The lovely duck egg colours and gorgeous raspberry reds are my favourites. I wish my decor was more colourful, but I cannot do it myself so I make do with what I have and am grateful for it. Love your new stove. Maybe a soft clay color for the wall above? Like the tile on the floor near the bottom right hand corner of the stove. Compliments the soft blue, and will go nicely with the yellow. Just an idea.

The new stove is awesome , the size gives you more room and looks really nice. I would think you could put the same type of tile behind the stove as you have on the floor. I think I would try for yellow and cobalt blue pieces. But Im sure you will pick somoething wonderful. I love the new look.

maybe do a blue color over the stove, you have blue in there already, or pull out the burgundy red color that is in some of your tile. I LOVE your new stove. your kitchen looks so much bigger. I think the metal back splash is a good idea too. definately like the smaller hutch to the side of the stove better then the other. It is really a cheery little kitchen. good job.

I love the stove! I live in the US and I’ve never seen anything quite like it. I can imagine pulling a loaf of fresh baked bread out of the oven! 😌 I would love to know more about it! Is it gas? It's a Stanley stove Probably the most popular make in Ireland. Google them for lots of information. Wood burning as it's cheaper than oil and Colette has a ready supply. 👌

Colette, the stove is beautiful! Your hard work is inspirational. Might I make a suggestion for the wall behind the stove. Until you can have the wall tiled, remove the top three or four rows of yellow tiles as you suggested, have the metal backing installed, and trim around the edge of the metal with thin strips of white wood trim, or strips of white tile trim if it is unsafe to have wood that close to the stove. The white trim will mimic the edges of the white kitchen shelves and finish off the harsh edge of the metal backing. Cheers from SW Florida.

The kitcken redo is perfect inviting new look. It’s amazing what a paint color can do love the blue too. Just a thought on some of the tiles you could stencil a blue pattern on to them.

Colette the stove is beautiful.If you are painting the area above the stove which is very dark try using magnolia as an undercoat it will save you spending a lot of money on your final selected colour.

I think the wall above the stove should be painted in the yellow that you have painted the rest of your kitchen in. Oooo! SO ENCHANTING! Love the stove! Blue? What if you painted blue above the stove, like an accent wall? The painting would smile brightly there as well. Whatever you do will only enhance everything. Life is good when two good Irish blocs come along and go the extra mile! When we do everything our self it is just a nice break! It looks wonderful. It's so good for you to have a dependable stove since it provides all that hot water and heat for the radiators. A lot more than an appliance just for cooking. Your plans for the area over the stove sound perfect. You might not even need to do the tiling in the future. The painting at the top of the wall will look great. I have mismatched chairs too and I painted them all of the same color and it just looks darling. I think you will like how yours will turn out. I just had my electrical panel replaced in my 104 year old farm house in Oregon. Nice to have it done but wasn't happy about the added expense. Your stove is beautiful and you have made your home and garden so serene. In fact the way you did your paths on your garden helped me to let go of all the weeding on my paths. Now I weed eat the paths down to the gravel, pull a weed here and there but have quit trying to pull them all.

Hi Collete that new stove is a fabulous bit of kit, the kitchen looks fantastic, such a happy room, your house sounds like mine, one job leads to another, and before you know it a big job has broken out! more money and expense, but it's worth it in the end, the weather where I live, ( Manchester ) is up the wall one minute it's heavy rain, and the next it's sunny and warm, but yesterday was the first day I smelled real autumn in the air, as you say a real earthy smell, lovely, it's nice to get cosy in the autumn, lovely job Collete, xxx

Oh Colette, the Stanley is gorgeous! That is the perfect stove for you. I would replace mine with a Stanley if it came to that. My Matilda is vintage 1930, but she was stored for 50 years, so in good nick. I love the robin's egg blue🍬💠🍬 color. Mine is coffee pot "gray spackle" glass enamel. I noticed your kettle steaming away. Lovely. I like where you repurposed the dresser. Everything fits beautifully. Can you do the electric piecemeal? Twenty years later and your cottage and property reflects your stamp on life.

Have a go at tiling. Honestly its easier than you think. I did our fireplace. All you need is a decent tile cutter and some good adhesive. Saves a fortune x

Love the new stove! ADVICE: Do not hang any art you love above a stove! The heat will warp the frame and damage the painting. Cooking grease gets in the air as well, and by the time you notice it, the artwork will be ruined.

Looks fabulous! I have a severe case of stove and mosaic floor envy ❤ and I love that the chairs aren't matching. Chalk paint is the bomb. Have you considered those decal stickers for the tiles? They do such a range of colours and designs. Love to you and Patsy ❤❤❤
