I found your channel last week and the inspiration has been so needed! Yesterday I went thrifting specifically for art and found a few beauties to begin my collection for a gallery wall. I went to Paris about 15 years ago and saw some amazing original art. A few years later I went back to France to an area further north and again spent considerable time studying the art and architecture during my too short visit. Those trips are playing in to my current hunt for my gallery wall!

When you replace the plain glass with the frosted, do you keep or get rid of the plain glass? Two of my favorite portraits (prints) are "Pink Girl or Pinkie" (1794) by artist Thomas Lawrence & "The Blue Boy" (1770) by artist Thomas Gainsborough. For some reason, they are always paired together.

I have been Binge watching your content and I must admit you have inspired me to decorate again. I haven’t done much of that in five or six years! I must ask, and I do hope I don’t offend you, but do you have a upper lip tie? I have two great grand children born in the past three years who had a upper lip ties, as well as a cheek tie for one and a under tongue (tradition tongue tie) for the other , both have a space between their front teeth. The little boy has caps on his two front teeth. He isn’t even three years old yet! The milk he took decayed his front teeth almost overnight. The baby girl had her ties cut before she got any teeth in. The children are third cousins. The prevalence of ties these days is shocking. I knew our baby girl had a under tongue tie, because I was there when she was born and as a old OB nurse, I couldn’t help assessing her, but the upper one took me by surprise. I didn’t even know to look for it. Most people don’t realize the problems that can occur for a child with a untreated tie. They are usually fixed by a speciality dentist. So if you are reading this and your baby has trouble feeding or latching on to suck, have them checked, it’s easily fixed and prevents a host of problems for a child or even an adult.

What type bedding do you use in a room with this many different textiles..........do you go with a print or a solid color
@StoneCottageHome Жыл бұрын
Good morning & great question! I do both. First is the solid ivory bedspread, then a homemade quilt in pattern/prints that are in the room color palette is folded at the end of the bed. The plain ivory gives the eye somewhere to rest, while the quilt adds more color and pattern (which I love). Hope that helps!
