What a beautiful Guest Room! In our Guest Room, I’ve added a hinged basket with extra toothbrushes, travel toothpastes and shampoo/conditioner, a safety razor, cotton pads and a-tips just in case they’ve forgotten something. Current magazines and a book or two are left on the night stand as well, in case they can’t sleep. I would visit your room and never want to leave!!

You need a small table or even a small wooden step stool along the wall beside the chair, then your guest can pull it up close to hold a drink or phone charger, or their book, while they are snuggled up in the chair, I am enjoying your channel!

Great attention to detail. I love it all. You know, if you ever decide you just haven’t done enough, I could even see the beautiful wallpaper on the other walls. I love this! What a beautiful way to spruce up an under utilized room! I crochet and wow, those blankets are gorgeous!!!! One is Tunisian crochet with a cross stitch design and the other is a lace pattern with crocheted and sewn on 3D flowers-- just lovely and on my to-make list!

That bedroom...very, very nice, am in the hunt/process rite now to add to my room that so cozy feel with my thrift store finds, yeah the transformation takes weeks and months, I already have three furniture pieces & bedspreads that somehow trade off and go very well with ALL my other thrift treasures...my bedding(s) the patterns, drapes, a lamp, a throw, a frame or two, a pillow or two, a splash of seasonal colors when in the season. Not too much just enough...people say.."oh wow, so nice in here" 👍(never want my surroundings to look like a new furniture show room) God bless byeeeeee

I just found your channel yesterday and I'm thrilled to subscribe! Your videos have reminded me how much I adore the English Country Cottage style. I sometimes get caught up in the more modern aesthetic (a true Gemini!), but I breathe a sigh of relief and feel my shoulders drop when I see a beautiful English cottage room. What a lovely guest bedroom! I really enjoyed seeing you put it together. You got me all inspired! If you don't mind, there are a few tweaks that I thought I might do (if it were my guest room). 1. If possible, I'd try to raise that lovely headboard a bit further up, so it shows a bit more. 2. I'd carry that pretty wallpaper through onto the two other walls as well. 3. I'd see if I could continue the gallery wall onto the closet door, discretely securing pictures by nailing them to the door by all four corners of the frames. Thus, making the closet door almost invisible, and part of the gallery wall. 4. I'd let a sheer curtain cover the window, to 'haze out' the view, and for added privacy and coziness. You've created such a sweet cozy room, that I'm sure your guests will love staying there.

Good morning, Inglish Home and Garden! I'm thrilled you enjoyed watching this bedroom come together & mostly that it inspired you for your own home! Thank you for the specific feedback, hearing my viewers thoughts and opinions is helpful! Let me share what I thought for your suggestions: 1. Like you, I'd love to see more of the handsome dark carvings of the headboard ~ it's actually on risers so that's as tall as it can go. 2. As much as I'd looove to wallpaper the rest of the room (I've imagined it several times) it is cost prohibitive. The one section of wallpaper we have was the single most expensive item in the entire room. 3. More art is always a great option! However, since the collection is so perfectly balanced for the space it fills, I'd rather turn to the wall above the bed... I've been playing around with the idea of making a sheer bedcrown with a single piece of art featured there... 4. Absolutely needs to be a sheer curtain behind the drapes, just haven't gotten there yet... Our guests have reported enjoying the decor & a good night's rest! Great makeover! And thanks for enlightening me of the fact that it's possible to replace old, nasty "candle covers"! I have several old lamps at home, that used to belong to my grandmother, and they all have those yellowing candle covers, but i didn't know the name of it so i didn't know i could even replace it! I have to import them though, because they don't seem to be sold in Scandinavia. but still; hoping to find a nice replacement now that I know it's possible to replace! :)

That wallpaper is to die for! Pretty. I don’t like too many patterns in a room either rug/fabrics etc and I need things to match more so that’s one thing with English cottage I can struggle with but I can do it my own way luckily

Ok, I just had to watch this again. I absolutely love wall GROUPINGS! I’m older than you but as a child my Mother took a magazine that was so beautiful called Colonial Homes so that is where my roots of design come from. Of coarse, your room fits right in. I must say, the wallpaper you found on Etsy is so perfect. Papers like that are harder to find now. I loved your tutorial on the covered lamp shades. Oh, I love your mood board.
