Hi Lovely and Handsome Hubby. My dear HV friend passed at 88. She was my flea/auction buddy. Her husband is an architect and they built a home to retire in HV. She had a pantry. It was all white , u shaped, shelved. She stored everything in vintage glass apothacary jars. Way before her time. Easy access and visable. They did all pull out drawers, no upper cabinets. They mixed everything. They also had a huge barn and view of the Mts. I have a tiny kitchen and maximize every inch. I LOVE my "stuff". Go with old and has history, integrity, you'll never lose value. 👍❤️ Bless.

Hi Andrea. We had a 120 year old farmhouse that my husband and I worked on over the years to get it just the way we wanted. It was so pretty and I loved the process. We sold it and moved to another state to be close to grandchildren. We built in a 55+ community which has perks that we wanted since we are retired, but I miss my farmhouse. I will enjoy your home and all your beautiful projects. You have a God given talent and have an eye for charm and beauty. Mike is very talented as well. Cant leave him out of these projects. Thank you for sharing your home, husband and children. God bless you all.

Hi Andrea! I definitely love the gray color! Such a nice color! And that drawing board is so unique and looks so good in the space! You are so talented and have an eye for paint and design. Now, we need Mike to come n YT with you and let us all know how he became so good at what he does for being so young! I can't believe some of the projects I have seen him do. Carpentry is surely a lost skill. My grandfather came to the US from Italy when he was around 21 and made furniture in Chicago and then moved to LA and had a shop there where many of his clients were movie stars. He did beautiful work. That was when everything was made of real wood! LOL. Some people are "naturals" at those things, and Mike is one of them. Truly gifted!

💐 Bravo! Beautiful Pantry Nook. You & hubby did a 💫brilliant job. 💞Love your charming cottage style!💞 Stunning storage shelves, glass apothecary, wire baskets, labeling system, color palette, copper accents, drawing board, etc. ✅ Well done! 😉Can't wait to see more! ✳️ Ethylene is the reason you shouldn't store onions & potatoes in such close proximity. Certain fruits should be separated for that same reason. 🤗Of course, not a problem if your family consumes these items more swiftly. ✳️ Also, as others mentioned, the manufacturers expiration date is misleading for some pantry items. Sugar doesn't expire. White, wild, aborio, jasmine & basmati rice can last forever too. (Brown rice has a short shelf life of 3-6 months bcos of oils. It will develop an off odor.) Air-tight containers in a cool, dry place is key for longevity. More info online. 🌻Bless you! 💚 Bridget from Cali ☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)

Your large "drawing board", I believe is a board that pulled out from a vintage cabinet in the kitchen. Mine pulls out from a slot in the top of a cabinet under the counter. So it's not a board to 'draw on', but a board drawn from its place in the kitchen for making sandwiches on or as a cutting board.

I think that board is a noodle or dough board that pulled out from an old Hoosier cabinet. I love those too-they are not too expensive and can be used so many different ways. I use them for “splash” protection by the coffee pots next to the cabinets. They add a lot of warmth and are functional too! Your pantry turned out beautifully-great job! ☺️

Mine is from the 1970’s …the built in with doors that open and truly has a lot of wasted space. Things were pretty back then, but not as functional. But I’m sure 40 years from now someone will say that about “our style “…LOL!! I didn’t even notice the trim around the window was painted…I was too busy looking at that beautiful space you were showing us ! Can’t wait to see the rest ! Good job to your hubby ! Such a beautiful pantry area, Andrea!! You have a real knack for making very functional spaces so pretty and peaceful. Thought I might mention that potatoes and onions put off gases that cause them to go bad more quickly when stored together. If you use them up quickly, then I wouldn't worry about it, but if you plan to store them a while, you might consider putting them in separate bins. Thanks for bringing us so much loveliness!! 🥰

this so pretty... to add another copper pot I would take a small and medium jar on the 2nd shelf and put it with the copper pot on the bottom shelf... then add the marble slice and another copper pot there on the second shelf, to bring in the repetition .. also some wood scoops in the larger canisters would pull the wood theme also to the second shelf ... my 3 design tips for shelving is color, continuity and repetition. Works everytime .... have a happy day
