To CHAIR tutorial and how to Duplicate Screws materials. WOWWWWWWWWWW.... PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE teach us more. And to all viewers. If you wanna become professional and more curious about Blender. Just watch blender guru. I am the one who watched hours and hours of some CGchocolate, bla bla bla, videos.. and this man shows you where it must goes! Just noticed that mine was "inflating inwards".. Solution: Select all faces and flipping normals fixed it. (edit mode: Mesh > Normals > Flip)
@dragonpanda23794 жыл бұрын
Would it be better to use a negative pressure value or have the red sides of the normals facing outwards?
@erikrichard4134 жыл бұрын
For anyone wondering if their faces are inward facing. First check the face orientation on your mesh. You can do this by selecting the "Show Overlays" tab which looks like two circles at the upper right hand corner of the viewport. Clicking this and selecting "Face Orientation" will show if your normals need to be flipped. If the faces are red, you need to flip them.
@fastenseatbeltnow4 жыл бұрын
Had the same issue here. Flipping normals solved it, thank you! The cushion looks perfect now at frame 9. But the normals are red. Is that bad / how do I solve it?
@marschrr4 жыл бұрын
@@fastenseatbeltnow Well, I have never seen red normals (not saying that that might not exist, cause I can't say that I'm an expert either haha) Maybe select whole mesh of faces with "recalculate outside" (mesh > normals > recalc. outside) could do the trick. Btw, to my knowledge, read means the Seams for the UV unwrapper, ain't them?

@@fastenseatbeltnow Also, setting the object shade to smooth sometimes is an easy way to reveal messy normals (since blender will use normals info to do the interpolation caclulation between faces to render the smooth shading)

8:01 I think it does make sense physically. What you are doing by applying pressure is inflating the cusion from the inside. And then you create a hole to let the "stuffing" escape and generate a sort of reactive force that propels the cusion in the opposite direction. Basically you are creating a cusion rocket here.

To anyone who got stuck at 7:35 with the pressure simulation, you need to make sure that "pressure scale" is set to 1, opposed to the default of 0. I believe blender must have added this option since 2 years ago at the time of the upload
@theonetribble58674 жыл бұрын
Activating internal springs setting Tension to 0 and Compression to something small like 0.1 produces a relatively realistic simulation as well. You even can have gravity be turned on. I assume that pressure is better for something that actually has internal pressure like a balloon or similar.

I personally have found that the new Voxel or Quad remesher works perfectly for getting an even distribution of squares on your mesh instead of guessing with loop cuts

I am on Blender 2.9 and i had to reduce pressure scale and increase stiffness tension/compression/shear to have results approximately similar . I think they changed something in the physics default value maybe, on 2.9, because i did all the same before and my cushion inflate more than in the tuto and hadn't enough wrinckles.
