Cheyenne is a gorgeous cougar!!! All of Sammie's "kids" are gorgeous, though! You can really tell how loved and well taken care of the creatures under her steward are. "Murder mittens." That cracks me up every time I hear Sammie say it! If I can ever put the money together, I'd like to open a sanctuary for tgese magnificent beasts that can't be returned to the wild. I believe that Sam has never "worked" even for a day because she obviously love the job, enjoying every second of her life surrounded by those adorable fur-kids everyday no matter how tiresome it can be at times. The job that she is doing clearly shows that indeed it is her truly genuine and natural passion that stemmed straight purely from her heart and soul! I watch after my friend's tabby cat whenever she goes away, and he is WAY too playful with his teeth. And every time he stretches or reaches out, he extends his claws. I don't think it's fixable because he's not trying to be harmful, but lets just say I refuse to cuddle with him anymore without wearing a shirt haha It's hard to be mad at the little bugger because he's always nestling his face into my neck and face and purring.

@willvr4 please answer this with a response and please let me know whether or not you got this message: When a cat extends their claws when stretching that's just how they stretch. They aren't trying to claw something, it's the same as when a person stretches out their fingers and toes and the same time they're stretching out their arms and legs. Do you understand what I mean?

@@carolyncarnahan960 Are you an android with that type of speech structure? lol Not all cats constantly extend their claws, and he's not always stretching. It's pretty constant with him to the point where he wont fully reach out his arms/legs without the claws coming out. I'm not projecting human behavior onto a cat, but it feels like more of an anxious thing. Because it's not normal.

Do you understand what I mean? And the kitty may just be making with the paws(also known as making biscuits) and the claws are coming out. When a cat does this it's a sign of contentment not anxiousness. How old is the kitty?

Cougars and cheetahs have always been my two favorite species of cat, so I was very surprised to learn how closely related they are. Cheetahs evolved directly from mountain lions about 5 million years ago. I always wondered why they both did the same defensive move with false charging/hissing/slapping the ground. It's because they're cousins. Lol
