I'm a BYU alum that graduated in 1982 (it would have been sooner, but I served a 2 year mission). In 1980, I remember the BYU newspaper and the Utah newspaper going back in forth for several weeks before the big game on why each school was sure they'd win. Utah students, alumni, boosters, faculty, you name it, was extremely confident and declared every day how they were going to slaughter the Cougars. BYU won 56-6! BYU won the next 7 years in a row with an average score of 35-18. I never take the Utah team for granted because they are well coached, have excellent players and have a proud history and tradition. I will not say I'm positive BYU will win this Saturday night, but I will say the chances are good if they play smart, don't turn the ball over and give the Utah team the respect they deserve.

I can see BYU winning this game. As long as they are focused, they will dominate. I think the key to this game is who mentally dominates it.

I can't remember the last time BYU had a pick 6 against Utah. My prediction the Cougs get a Pick 6 against Rose. BYU 31-14.

It’s a new era at BYU, Hill doesn’t have let down games

Love these cross over podcasts. Cougs win 27-10.

If BYU scores on first two drives, it’s game over. Their running game won’t be enough to catch up. If utah’s defense gets stops on those first two drives it will be a 4 quarter game

Big win at Rice-Eccles is gonna taste so sweet! Can’t wait!

Hi Jake, please remind Connor how slow the Utah jog / walk / crawl off between plays. Whittingham has mastered the art of getting coaches/players to call time-outs when they don't want to. Text call or whatever you need to do so the Cougs are prepared. Also, tell JT he's first-class utah fans, and I've enjoyed having him on the show, but I don't want to lose this game ... too much is on the line for the Cougs and playoffs

J. T. Is honest and a visionary. As such I'll be sending him a coupon for an eye exam and glasses. I think BYUs Defense has been significantly better than the stat lines when it mattered. BYU gave up meaningless late scores in several games getting reps for their talented freshman. Yes Utah could come up with some miracles but I think BYU will come out, foot on the gas, D playing well and should win handily. One more thing. I am so tired of hearing BYUs offense was poor against KSU. BYU began its first scoring drive at the 9:45 Mark of the 2nd quarter and dominated the game with mainly short field possessions, but scored on almost all of them after that. Yards did not reveal the dominance. The scoreboard did. L. E. Deaux FWAA 1982 to the present

That Vegas bowl game was rough with the pick 6

BYU will come into this game focused and determined and put it on Utah. They will need to do something they haven't done all season in order to have a chance in this game.

I think BYU will win. Seems like the team is hitting it's peak now.

BYU needs to stay focused and pressure Utah’s quarterback and make the turnovers go BYU’s way. Cougs 24- 13.

The only way that happens is if Utah sneaks Zach Wilson in for his kid brother and BYU has 5 or 6 defensive starters injured in the first quarter. I do think 34-17 is a very realistic score but with BYU winning.
