AMERICAS MOST WANTED TIP Four days after Steven Todd and Glenn Pearce were arrested, America’s Most Wanted ran a story on Laci’s disappearance. An anonymous call came into their hotline. We refer to it as the AMW tip. The caller said he had a conversation with two men who were bragging about Laci’s murder. The second man was unnamed, but the tipster gave a description and knew where the second individual lived. It was reported that the first man said “when they did it they thought it was going to be just another murder case . . . now it’s a big case all over TV and news . . . and they are blaming the husband and they are not getting any attention.” went on to say how stupid everyone was. The caller went on to say that he knew where the first man lived with his mother; his mother has the same last name. The last name is worth mentioning because four days earlier, the Modesto Police had encountered the Mother. She was present at her neighbor’s home when police came looking for the Medina’s stolen property. There was a strong connection between the Doe family and burglar Steven Todd. Certainly, this would merit follow-up, especially since the AMW operator stated this caller was 100% sure. Unfortunately, the extent of their follow up was this: This tip was given to a Modesto police officer, the same officer that encountered the mother four days earlier. This officer drove to the sons house, which was one block away from where he had encountered the mother, four days earlier. The son was standing outside. The officer confirmed his identity and asked where he was on December 24th. He said he was “locked up.” The officer called the jail and a deputy confirmed that John Doe had been in jail on the 24th, so the officer did not ask any other questions. The tip did not say he had murdered Laci, the tip just said “they did it.” It is not clear at all who “they” are. However, the officer asked no more questions. The officer never asked why it would be reported that he was bragging about the murder of Laci Peterson; whether he knew anything about Laci’s whereabouts; or about his mother’s connection to the Medina burglary. It was recently verified the first man WAS NOT IN JAIL during December of 2002. The deputy that had confirmed he was in jail had used an intake document that only estimates an inmate’s jail stay, it was not updated once he was released. The MPD screwed up big time.

Chris Hansen: "We watched how this all played out." Yeah, Chris, we did. And from JUMP, Nancy (dis)Grace pegged Peterson as "guilty!" 🙄 That, to me, along with a few other factors, makes me think potential jurors were tainted before they even knew they'd be jurors. The fervor around this case _alone_ seemed like a witch hunt. All of the pomp and circumstance that surrounded the courthouse as the trial date drew closer was _pure spectacle._ People, like Chris, love to say, "Oh, it's _so_ obvious he's guilty!" But I've seen cases where this was also the case. People said the very _same things_ that they're saying _right now_ about this Peterson case, only to later find out they were WRONG. Sure, Peterson may be guilty of the crime the state of California has alleged. But shouldn't we know _for sure_ if that's the case? I don't see a problem with making sure. Hell, I don't even like the guy! I think he's a smug, entitled sh*t! But that doesn't automatically make him guilty of this crime just because I feel that way about him. And a _lot_ of people used that sort of emotion-based "thinking" to judge this guy before he even got into a courtroom. And the very _same thing_ is going on currently with the Brian Kohberger case, and there's all _sorts_ of weird stuff all _over_ that case. Yet, we have people claiming they "know for sure he's guilty!" Yeah, we'll see... or maybe, we won't? 🤔

You clearly weren't paying attention or not born when this happened. Who leaves their pregnant wife and goes fishing on Christmas day if they know NOTHING about fishing as you imply? The discovery included 42,000 pages of documents. The evidence against Peterson included weeks of apparent planning, forensic evidence including mitochondrial DNA, and months of suspicious behavior both before and after the fact. Frey, the girlfriend he cheated on his pregnant wife with did not know Peterson was married; he had told her weeks before Laci’s disappearance that he had "lost his wife" before she was even dead. Laci's hair was found in the same boat Scott bought right before he "went fishing" coincidentally in the same region of the bay where her body was eventually found. Topping it off, they caught him fleeing with his hair dyed a different color and $10k in cash. If his wife had been murdered by someone else, why would he do that? I guess you have some reflecting to do and possibly some research of your own. @@TSeeley01

The bodies of both mother and son washed up in San Francisco Bay, just a few miles from where Peterson had gone "fishing" the day Laci disappeared. BTW who leaves their pregnant wife on Christmas day to fish when they never fish?! Scott hadn’t had a regular fishing license since 1994! The original discovery included 42,000 pages of documents. The evidence against Peterson is overwhelming, this trial is a waste of time. Scott called his girlfriend, Amber Frey on Dec. 9, 2002, 15 days before Laci went missing, saying that he had "lost his wife" and would be spending his first holiday without her. Caught in a pair of pliers recovered from Peterson’s boat, police found hair matched to Laci’s through mitochondrial DNA testing. Do some research!

Look, the Modesto police said that Scott didn't want to be a father or a parent, and that's why he killed Laci. But if that's the case, then why did he choose to cheat on Laci with a woman, Amber Frey, who already had a kid, a boy, at that time? That makes _no sense_ whatsoever! @Silence_Duder_Gooder9 ай бұрын
@@tishwitch, he never kept that boat a secret, that's a lie. And I don't understand why fishing is a problem. He couldn't go golfing because of the inclement weather, and fishing during inclement weather is usually optimum fishing conditions. Yeah, I get the proximity of where he went fishing and where the bodies showed up. I'm not saying it doesn't look bad. But back to the boat lie (edited for content): _"When Scott purchased the boat from Bruce Peterson, he paid cash. Scott did not pay cash to hide the transaction; Scott paid cash because Bruce asked to be paid in cash. Scott withdrew the $1400 from his joint checking account with Laci._ _"Also, Scott did not try to hide his identity from Bruce or the DMV. Scott gave accurate information to Bruce including his home address. This information was filed with the DMV on 12-9-02._ _"Additionally, Scott had told the police that Laci knew about the boat and that she had been to the warehouse on December 20, 2002. Detective Brocchini was told about an eyewitness who confirmed seeing Laci at the warehouse (where the boat was stored). When he heard about this witness in August of 2003, he purposely left it out of his police report._ _"While under oath during the trial, he admitted to excising the information from his police report and acknowledged that he did not think it had been reported by any other officer. This woman later confirmed that Laci was at the warehouse on December 20, 2002. This situation confirmed that Scott was once again being truthful. It was Detective Brocchini who had been deceptive._ _"There is no evidence that Scott tried to keep the boat a secret. Testimony showed that Scott and Laci routinely made purchases and decisions that extended family members were not aware of. It had only been fifteen days since they bought the boat, it would be expected that not many people would be aware of it._ _"Scott never lied to anyone about having a boat. He discussed buying a boat with his friends, he used his own name to purchase the boat, and took the money out of a joint account with his wife. He immediately told the police on Christmas Eve that he’d been fishing and took them to his warehouse to show them the boat._ _"So the prosecution’s statement that ‘nobody knew about’ the boat was not true and to call the boat a ‘secret purchase’ was inaccurate."_ (source: ScottPetersonAppeal, _Top Ten Facts you need to know about Scott's boat')_
