I second the How to ADHD channel. She has fantastic advice. Now that you know that your brain works differently, you have to freedom to cast off traditional productivity and organizing advice. It can feel so freeing to realize that it's not that you were failing, it's just that it was bad advice for you. You have the radical permission to redesign things to work for how you live. For example, I would never wear socks because by the time I went to put my shoes on to leave, I was running so late and the socks were all the way upstairs, so I would just go without, even in Minnesota winters. Now I keep half my socks in a box at the back door, which is where I actually use socks. It's not where socks "go," but it's where I need them, when I need them. The world is yours to design! Yay!

This is so good. My fav fav, FAV organizing book is called “Organizing with ADHD” and it’s essentially a whole book of strategies on how to do exactly this to your house. I recommend it to everyone, ADHD or not, because everyone (even neurotypicals) deserves to know that you can and should just keep things where you use them. (This is why my non-ADHD husband’s dresser & hamper are in a nook in our living room - that’s where he always gets dressed, that was where his laundry kept ending up, might as well put some drawers there and make it official.) Got a spot where random stuff just seems to accumulate? Put a shelf or open basket there, put the stuff in the basket or on the shelf instead of just in a pile, boom, organized. We don’t need to torture ourselves when we can strategize based on how we actually live. Life changing.

I love birds! They are fascinating and if anyone is looking for a new hobby this is a great one! Go enjoy all those cute birdies everywhere, and feel free to ask me for any advice getting started!

Its sad that 21:00 montana looks like that. Living in northern europe has made me miss the night sky during summer and the morning sun during winter.💜💜💜

I’ve been taking pictures of birds on my old college-era canon, and man it’s been so fun! They’re challenging to capture, because they are so twitchy! Hummingbirds, woodpeckers and blue jays are my personal favorite to look at. The rare hawk can really get you excited. I also fully recommend! I’ve seen all the birds I’ve referenced without leaving my backyard in Oklahoma, do your hobbies safely :)

I was waiting for "Who the eff is Hank?" But he's well known enough now because of his hard work and success (especially for publishing his own books independent from John's success!) 😊😊
