With Brennan, I just want to see him be confident in his understanding of the offense and how he processes it on the field. early development with the offensive line is key. From what I've been hearing, the team loves Brennan and he's already taking lead. I'm excited to see him that special connection between him and McMath. LSU's receiving group is special.

Definitely a culture change and it was much needed and way over due. Ed Orgeron has done exactly what he said he was gonna do from the day he took the job so I expect to be in the hunt from now on and be a program other teams dread having to play. This 2019 natty was huge for the 2019 team but it's worth a million times more for future seasons. Having that hardware Is a the ultimate recruiting tool and that's what LSU has to have to get top recruit QB'S back interested in choosing LSU again after years of zero options in the QB department

The explosion happened last year & continues right through the offseason into 2020. Linehan & Ensminger together could actually improve the scheme, and Myles Brennan is more than primed for a breakout season. Nobody expects another Joe Burrow behind center, but if the OL can gel & grow into a decent year, LSU has the tools to keep this train rollin.

LSU has been recruiting pretty much top 5 for a long time. Just needed to showcase the talent. Now they do. I think Miles Brennan ends up second in LSU passing yards in a single season and in td’s after this year. So he’ll throw for over 3300 yards. And 30-40 td’s that’s my prediction. If that happens LSU is in the mix for the national title again. It’s not about what they lost but what they have. And they are loaded at WR and RB. QB is gonna be great I think. TE is remarkable. And then defense is gonna be better than last under the influence of BO.

Brennan is a Red-Shirt Junior [translation = a senior]. There have been others that transferred to schools as seniors and won National Championships. Seems that happened at Alabama within the last five years. Brennan has grown from a young lad with a cannon that would have been hurt in the SEC to a guy who has grown into SEC QB size. The big question is whether he will have the ability to use the playbook and not get scared and telegraph to the opposing defense who the receiver is. If he puts in the work with the receivers like Burrow did last summer, there are ample receivers to step in where Jefferson was. Will the offensive line do as well? If you start to believe in James Cregg, then they should. Will the [now] sophomore superstar RBs take it to the next level - likely. Will the greatest TE to ever show up at LSU be the impact player everybody expects he will be? Very likely. So it comes down to the Defense and what Joe Pelini can do with a better defensive line than last year and likely better depth at linebacker than last year. The defensive backs are stacked. So, no records will be broken on offense, but the defense will likely be more stout. Its not going back to boring LSU Offense. 11 regular season wins isn't out of the question.

From everything I heard from the insiders that saw the first three practices this spring is that backup Left Tackle Cameron Wire, who was taking Dare Rosenthal's place this spring, is very solid and good enough to be a starter. I'm guessing he is the heir apparent for Austin Deculus after this 2020 season. They also said that Chasen Hines at Center and Anthony Bradford at Right Guard are both beast. Hence, if that is true, then the offensive line will be just fine in 2020. LSU's offense is loaded up to the gills. Even true freshman 6 foot 7 Kole Tracy, who will be one of Arik Gilbert's backups at Tight End was impressing everyone. I was also told that both Chase and McMath were making Stingley and Flott look very pedestrian. As they said Myles Brennan was really having a very good spring practice. They also said that Trey Palmer was also lighting it up at Wide Receiver. They also bragged about new Running Back coach Kevin Faulk doing a really good job coaching the running backs and said that John Emery was catching everything thrown his way now after the LASIK eye surgery. As for as the defense goes, they said it was like last season. The defense was being killed in spring practice by the offense.

As an LSU fan if they can go 11-1 I would be pretty satisfied especially after losing 16 players to the NFL and not making the playoffs next year won't mean Coach O is a bad coach like some people will be quick to say about him. Yeah they lost a lot of players but they also have a lot of veteran guys coming back plus you have the 2020 class coming in there so from a pure depth standpoint LSU will be reloading not rebuilding like some people say. And I don't expect Myles Brennan to be 2019 Joe Burrow but I think he can be a slightly better version of 2018 Burrow which means LSU can still have a pretty good offense maybe not record setting as 2019 but productive enough. They won't average 50 points but they can still average 35 to 38 which is still enough to win football games. I also believe that defense will be better with Bo Peleni switching them back to a 4-3. base defense and if they go 11-1 who is to say that won't be good enough to make the playoffs but if not a Fiesta Bowl appearance would not be a bad thing either. Great video man keep it up.

UF 's missed field goal in OT in a game totally dominated by the Gators, then that fumble by Arkansas QB when all the Hogs needed to do is run out the clock. UF in 96. No. 1 UF lose in a poor performance against then No. 2 FSU, beats Bama for it's 4th straight SEC 👑 crown, then, Texas upsets Nebraska in the Big 12 championship game, followed by The Buckeyes derailing of the unbeaten Jake "The Snake" Plummer's Sun Devils, and all the rest is history 52-20 Gators all overs the Noles. Bowden was quoted saying that UF beat the Noles in every part of football.

@@JoshPateCFB You said you have no concerns about him. Which is insane!!!!! In all fairness you said the same about BO NIX. That decision by Auburn wasted a championship defense for a player who has the potential to be average to above average. I know you gonna say he was a freshman but so was Trevor Lawrence, Tua, Jalen Hurts and Jake Fromm who took their teams to the playoffs. LSU will be back at 8 to 9 wins. Burrow was lightning in a bottle.
@JoshPateCFB4 жыл бұрын
Kenneth Sims Correct. I said the same about Bo Nix within the context of the person he was battling with for the QB spot, Joey Gatewood. Nix was absolutely the better QB, still is, and I still have no concerns about that statement.

Lost Burrow, Aranda, Joe Brady. Too much. 10 win team at best.
@INoticeTooMuch14 жыл бұрын
Joe Brady was passing game coordinator who only called plays on 3rd down and red zone. Ensminger is our OC and the guy that brought this offense in( Brady brought some new route concepts and RPO stuff). Ensminger and Bo Pelini will be fine tbf. Brennan has a stronger arm than burrow, not as agile but hopefully he won’t have to be. We have reloaded WR, TE, and RB so he has plenty of weapons. We are returning 2 starters at CB, Safety, and DT. Got a top DE and LB juco commits (one was thinking about the draft). So it only comes down to a couple Olineman stepping up on offense. Defensively we have question marks at DE and OLB. We won’t know how good we are until week 2; I’ll say if we handle Texas we’ve got a shot at going all the way. Edit: We lost one corner and safety but we played with 6 DB’s a lot. So our free safety, strong safety, Nickel and corner are returning. It helps that we are moving back to a 4-3.

Myles Brennan is not Joe Burrow. Steve Ensminger is not Joe Brady. LSU wins 8-9 in 2020...assuming the season happens. They'll be back in the NC picture after that, but it's not happening back to back. They have too many huge pieces to replace.
@INoticeTooMuch14 жыл бұрын
Steve ensminger was the OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR. He was the guy who brought this offense in before Brady ever stepped foot in Baton Rouge. Brady brought in new route concepts and some RPO stuff. He called plays on 3rd down and red zone. We are bringing back multiple Olineman who started games due to injuries. (One was supposed to be a starter but missed last season) WR, TE, and RB are all reloaded. 4 out of 6 DB’s are returning. A LB who played a lot and Jabril cox transfer from NDSU (nfl analyst pegged him as a top 100 prospect for this past draft but he decided to come to LSU). He’s 6-3 230 OLB and very fast. 2 starting DT’s returning. LSU is not going to be a 9 win team. At worst probably 10 win regular season; but if we smoke Texas week 2 we will definitely be in the hunt for another title.
@professorrufusalexander82434 жыл бұрын
@@INoticeTooMuch1 lol how'd that offense work in 2018 w/o Brady and Ensminger running the show solo? You're delusional if you think a team can replace both coordinators and 9-10 starters including the greatest college QB of all time. 9 wins max, more likely 8. Y'all beat Texas, but lose to Florida, Bama, Auburn and A&M.

LSU should not be penciled in as favs by any means because the SEC is brutal and LSU's road slate this year is no joke. However talent wont be the issue. LSU is still loaded. I think inexperience especially on the road at QB will be the downfall and cost them the chance to run it back but LSU to me still looks like a at worst 2 loss team capable of making one of the elite bowl games just outside the playoffs and set themselves up for a 2021 playoff run. with matchups vs Texas, @Auburn, @UF, Bama, @A&M I just dont know how you expect a guy with no prior starting experience to handle that even if they are a mature upperclassman with the talent to do it.
