Boy, talk about a cliff hanger...I can't wait to find out more about the mysterious stone. 😀 It was fun seeing you and Sarah together. I'm glad she found her 1st coin. Congrats! That theatre token was super cool. And, I'm sure it got old, but it was hysterical watching you dig a hole and then Jack depositing his ball in it each time. I'm sure he's super happy that you go to so much trouble digging away just for him, though he's probably wishing you would move a little quicker with getting the ball thrown out each time. 😆 Your sandwich, I must say, sounded...well...not so appetizing. I was wondering if it was something you ate regularly. Then you gave your assessment of it. 1 out of 10. So apparently it was something new you were trying. I see your adventurous nature carries over to food too! 😉Thanks for giving us that update with the your ring find and telling us about your past amazing finds and award. That's so cool! I enjoyed this video (like all your others) very much. Thank you for all your hard work putting it together and sharing it with us all. 😊

Omg Jack is hilarious when he drops his ball in the holes you and Sarah dig 😂 I laughed out loud for real every time. Congratulations to Sarah finding her first coin! That stone slab is very intriguing indeed, particularly since the land owner didn't know it was there, I can't wait to see what it turns out to be.......maybe it'll be an underground city lol, I was reading about a guy from Turkey who knocked a wall through in his house and found a whole underground city, so my imagination is running away with me 🤣 Thanks for another belter video, I'll be tuning in early next week with curiosity (just call me Isa, I cannae naw know lol). Cheers Willie 🤗

For your sanity and Jack’s delight, suggest you get an auto tennis ball thrower. Jack would put the ball in the thrower and after about 20-30 seconds, it heaves the ball and off he goes! If you can bring it with you while detecting (batteries required) then you both win! 🐕🦺

@noraleestone28592 жыл бұрын
I concur, Rita. I've always heard them referred to as the Prince of Wales feathers. A fleur-de-lis is based on a lily.
@ritamahlberg86022 жыл бұрын
@@noraleestone2859 i copied from Wikipedia: The Three Feathers,[1] commonly known as the Prince of Wales's feathers is the dexter[2] heraldic badge of the Prince of Wales. It consists of three white ostrich feathers encircled by a gold coronet with a ribbon below bearing the German motto "Ich dien" (German: [ɪç ˈdiːn], "I serve"). The crown under the ostrich feathers is shown with cross and Fleur de lys.

Very interesting me thinks and I can't wait to see what you found. Did you know that the old bun pennies and halfpennies had a small amount of silver in them? I was told this because if I found one when young my father saved them up and took them to an old lady who rented the house he owned. Love Jack Spaniels with his ball. Hope the finger is better now.

You need to get one of those plastic hand-held ball launchers for dogs. They really send the ball flying a long ways. That would tire him out in a hurry! They definitely made Cartwheel pennies longer than 1797. They all had that same date. Some say for a couple more years, others say 10 years. Who knows! Lol!

Suggestion for your sandwich. Instead of strawberry jam, slice an apple and add it to your sammie. It will give you that bit of sweetness and add a pleasant crunch!

THE SANDWICHES HAVE RETURNED!!! Do you report the leg band information to the appropriate organization? I’m in California, but have spent a ridiculous amount of time listening to BBC nature podcasts, so I’m guessing that the BTO or the RSPB are the ones interested in this data. I’m a bit of a bird nerd. I’ve worked as an aquatic wildfowl volunteer, and two days ago had the notable experience of removing two completely panicked wild turkeys from the warehouse where my studio is located. This involved crawling into the tight spaces the birds had taken refuge in, and carving them with packing blankets. I have new respect for the muscular strength of wild turkeys!

It’s cool to find treasure to put in a museum but other than a betrothal ring not sure why the saw it as important. Did they not have one or is it older than I understand. The letter was vague to why they kept it. Or to me it was. Yes I see everything as treasure like you I like the history and the whys. Lol
@dirtysecretsofscotland2 жыл бұрын
In the UK, anything that's more than 300 years old, and more than 10% precious metal is considered treasure - you must hand it in. I knew as soon as I found it, I'd only have it for a short period. But I will receive a small finder's fee that I split with the landowner. Willie :)
